Thread: Who all has deleted their rear climate control lines?

    After seeing the prices posted above for the heater lines I'm just going to splice them together in the engine bay with a barbed fitting. Will post up my results tonight.

    That's what I did cost me like $4 bucks to do it.

    The size for the heater lines is 3/4" for future reference.

    I only bought a 1/2" barbed fitting so I had to improvise...I'll let the pictures do the talking. Total cost $0.00.










    I still have to crimp the cut lines and do some pinch weld trimming but I'm almost there.

    Just make sure you don't have any kinks like I do in that last pic, I added some more hose clamps in the kinked areas to open them back up. I might revise this in the future but it should do for now.

    If / when I consider this mod, I might also check at the local junk yard ( sorry... I mean salvage yard, auto recycling center or automotive regeneration facilitating pre-owned parts purveyor ) for the A/C hoses.
