I have been doing a bit of brainstorming, and although I am not a CAD Designer like matt or really all that inovative at all I think I found an alternative. Toyota Sequoia's (Limiteds) had something like a slimmed down version of the front guard. I am starting my search today to find a junked one and see what I can pull that for. The mounts shouldn't be too hard to make, and if mine suck that bad, shouldn't be too expensive.

lol dude you dont need CAD to make stuff. Get some parts, start cutting and drilling and make it work!

Amen to that bro, I just grab stuff and bend drill or what ever and see what I can make work. You don't need nothing fancy to get started thinking outside the box.

Haha I was just giving Matt some Sh*t for his 3D mounts and actually planning it out. If I could do it I would, but I just wing everything. If it works cool, if not f it try again. I was unable to locate a wrecked one today, this might be harder than I thought.

LOL well fwiw, my $130 bar of aluminum will be here tomorrow and i only plan on screwing up one 3" test piece. Would suck to "wing it" with that material 801

I remember seeing a Hyundia suv whith what looked like a rear slider/guard. It actually looked decent and thought it could of been modded to fit the XK, but I didn't research it any further and forgot about that idea. This post sparks it back up when mentioning the Toyota.

EDIT: Found a pic of what seems to be what I saw, but a bit smaller in height...

Yeah for that price it is certainly worth the extra stem. $10 peice of scrap steal, eh not so much. Cant wait to see the mounts when they are done.
