AJ, do you pull a trailer with your jeep?

What do ya pull, a goose neck trailer???

Unless the hitch part of the trailer is sky high, the back end of the trailer must sit very close to the ground going down the road.

I just haven't removed the hitch yet... But yeah I needed a Uhaul to tow some furniture. The back of that trailer was probably 2-3" off the ground, lmao.

I was surprised by its performance, it did pretty well. I was getting around 15.5mpg. 4th gear did most of the real work, while I coasted down hills in 5th. I stuck around 65mph.

Cool! The V8 just has that lower grunt to pull in 5th :D

I haven't updated this in a while, but this WK is retired. The hi-lift jack, and some additional auxiliary lighting was the last thing I got for it. They are small lights same size as the lights I have for the side. In any case, I plan to mount them below the side-view mirrors and they'll be angled back and down slightly to illuminate the side of the vehicle, and reveal the rock sliders at night before you step into the vehicle. People and co-workers who were unfamiliar with my vehicle hit their shin on the sliders at night (and I know it hurts). The lights will cut on with the the headlights when the vehicle is remote unlocked, and will turn on with all interior lights when turned on via the multifunction switch. I also have a switch to manually turn them on and will probably get this done when a buddy of mine has some free time.

But outside of the small light project, this WK is complete.

Hey Core XK - Really slow in replying to this one, completely missed this post. Anyway, I bought these lights from an auto-parts store called O'Reily's... I hear it is a popular store. They are about 30-40 bucks a set (I can't remember exactly).
So, after months of modification silence, The WK is going to get a little heavier and I've decided to make a couple purchases for the WK this evening - Neither are on my future mods or In-the-works list, but got them out of concern for security for my vehicle once I bring it on base in January. Now, it's not on-post that i'm concerned about, it's off-post I'm concerned about, lol. I purchased some Rocker LED lights and also the Steel Armadillo Secure Console. Looking forward to installing both of these, and putting them to work.

got my rock lights installed... it looks fantastic. They are wired into the cabin lights.. so when I unlock via remote, open the door, or turn them on manually via the Multi-function switch - they come on.

I purchased my XK brand new in 2007 and it now has over 125,000 miles. It runs strong but since the Commander is no longer in production and I love it so much I'd like to pick up a newer model Hemi Commander with a lot less miles. It almost happened a few months ago because my brother was going to buy my XK but that fell through because I couldnt find a Hemi fast enough and he needed a vehicle right away. He still plans on buying it this spring/summer so once winter is over i'll start looking for a Hemi. I'd like to find a 2010 if possible since thats the last year they were made. My XK is a few payments away from being paid off.

I see, Good Luck with the search! I'm going to be in the market for a 2nd vehicle in the next couple months as well. (Kind of a present to myself, lol) My better judgement says to get a car with some DECENT mpg... So I've been looking at the Ford Taurus SHO, and the Dodge Charger SRT8. I want to keep it in the 'family' and buy another Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge, because I have had no issues with my 'Chrysler' product. But Fords ECO boost engine pushing numbers that look like the Hemi is still something I'm having a hard time comprehending. The Ford looks pretty sexy, but the Charger looks like it has a short temper... I like that. Worst comes to worst, I'll say to hell with both of them save a TON of money and buy a Patriot, lol.
