Going out with the MWJT guys again tomorrow. This is a new park for me, but looks pretty good. Going with all JKs and TJs again. We shall see how it goes, but the place looks like a lot of fun.

Here is a link to where we are going to get an idea of the terrain.

Freaking intense day. Just got back and got the Jeep all cleaned up. I was not sure we were going to leave the park today... To say the least I was in way over my head. Nothing broken, but I may quit building this rig, and buy something to beat on.

I just cannot say enough about how steep this descent was. No spotters, and I had to fold in both mirrors to keep from hitting. At on point I was ballanced on two wheels and was touching trees front and back. Little scuffs on the bumper but not horrible. At the bottom of this was a wash, and there was never a point were all four wheels were down. Couldnt go back up that hill, so just kept pushing on. The Rubicon LJ got a flat, I need a new rim, dented the gas tank really bad, crushed the rear corner again, and added some new pin stripeing. Drove the two hours home fin and looks like new after a good wash and wax. I am exhausted

LMAO I remember the first time I dented mine or felt like I was in over my head. You made though that's the important thing. Now you know why I painted my bumpers and wheel wells and will paint the bottom of my doors to.

I was hoping to see some more pics of your Commander and that ZJ... sigh. Just a bunch of Wranglers...
Anyway, did I hear you someone say something about getting a 'beat on'. Get a ZJ, FILTHY, DIRT, CHEAP RAW, POWER AND CAPABILITY.... but ya can't have mine. Go get your own! :D

Or you can do what Sal did and get an XJ.. which seems like the perfect combo for an XK. XK/XJ combo. but a WK/ZJ combo was more to my liking. :)

Yeah I like the WJ to be honest, and I would probably go for one with the 4.0. The whole group were group was JKs and TJs except for the little red one. It is the cover rig from fourwheeler a few months ago, 1947 Jeep Cj-3b(?) or something like that. Dude was nuts, this is the cleanest rig I have ever seen and he was beating the hell out of it. I have not felt this in over my head before, it is a verynew park with 0 access roads, and no trail ratings. I really was not sure how we were going to get my XK outa there, freaking crazy. Addrenallin is still pumping from that descent. As soon as people post pics of my rig on the trail I will transfer them over.

Those plugs pictured in the 4th pic down?

Are there threads in there? Looks like a mounting spot for a driveline damper... probably put the plugs in there to protect the threads.

Regardless, they're not important.

no threads in them, the other one went back in. sounds good, I will just leave it alone then

My stock wheels look like yours (damage pics) but maybe a bit worse. I'm missing several bits of the outer lip on several wheels. It's really time to get some new ones but i keep putting it off. I don't notice a difference in balance or anything. I've got no money to spend on stuff for the time being though. Looks like you had fun. It's a thrill to ride these commanders around in comfort and on trails you'd never have thought possible. Thanks for the pics.

Yeah it really challenges your driving to keep from trashing the body, lol. I will probably just keep the wheel as is until i HAVE to change it.

You would be more than welcome to come by and wheel with me here in the Midwest if you make the trip. It would be fun to have another Commander around, and maybe my JC wouldn't think I was crazy anymore
