Went to Greensboro, N.C. today, about a 200 mile ride, one way. I then towed this thing back home.

Looks good man! I remember going around the states with my parents in a 60's model pop up. That one looks a bit nicer ( and lighter).

I almost purchased the one I took to WCCC but I need to wait until I have a little more saved for a toy like that.

I think I got a nice deal. Its a 2000 Viking, 9 ft box. I didnt want anything bigger than a 10 ft box, dont need larger and dont want to have to pull a big one around. Anyway, the canvas and screens are like new, no rips or tears anywhere. Theres no rot or mildew anywhere. The inside is like new also, no stains or rips or anything. It has a nice AC unit that also has heat and a fridge, and a two burner stove. It has the sink and water holding tank. Tires are nice, frame is in nice shape. It just needs a good wash job on outside and thats it. He was firm at $2250 but I was happy to pay that. I didnt want one cheap that needed a bunch of work before it could be used.

The price is very reasonable, the guy who owns the one I used wants $3,500 for it and it is a 1989.

Thanks, guys. I just gave it a bath. It just had stuff from the trees on it, it cleaned up real nice. I'm going to pull it to the shop this week and really scrub the " box ", needs a little stronger cleaner, and wash the roof which I couldn't reach while it was popped up. I need to grease the winch cable and the tongue jack. All the lights work but I'm going to install new bulbs all around. Got it registered and titled yesterday at $150 bucks. We got new pillows and cases, sheets, drawer liners, and 2 short water hoses. She should be ready to go to the beach in a couple of weeks. I'm really happy with it so far. My water pump went out in the XK yesterday so got a new one and a thermostat and got them in. Now Im spending my time trying to get all the air out of the coolant system, what a pain.

Good find Neil. I looked for a long time and the prices are unreal on these things. I know I could sell mine for 4 times what I paid for it. But then i wouldnt have one and couldnt buy a better one. That will however, allow me to trade up soon.

If you find a better way to lift it than an axle flip, let me know. I suggest you cover your tires when you store the trailer as
these things are subject to tire rot. I now have 3 new tires and I dont want to go thru another blow out.

Mine had the interior stove but I dont want the smell of food in my PuP. Attracts animals.
I am having a tough time keeping the kids from eating and drinking in it.

Do you have battery power? I added a battery and inverter for mine. I am seriously thinking about taking the converter out.
Dont see much use for it. I have 1 interior 12v light.

I am getting some of the small plastic cutting boards to put under the legs for leveling. They clean up easily and won't and wont rot or crack like wood.

I do have 12v setup but no battery. It has an onboard 12v charger which i believe is also an inverter , mounted into one of the cabinets. The previous owner just never used it w/ 12v so he never bought a battery. It has two overhead lights, an outdoor light by the door, the ac, two standard wall receptacles, and the fridge, and uses a 30 amp service. I had it hooked up here at the house with an extension cord and it seems to work fine except I havent turned on the fridge. The ac will run you out of the thing. I can see this one easily sell for $4K . As far as lifting it I dont know if I will or not. It runs 12" tires and it doesnt sit down low like the Colemans do. Plus I dont know that I would take it somewhere like Flagpole cause I dont want to mess anything up. A little more clearance would be nice though to keep from dragging the rear bumper when going into a parking lot or something.
