AR-15 Kinda a different configuration right now. My buddy gave me this cheap scope to try out. I'll probably take it back off as its used more as a short range rifle anyway. ( I have other rifles for longer range use )

My wife's boss gave me these next two rifles. First is a Ithaca LSA-55 chambered in .257 Roberts ( made in Finland by Tikka ) . Its an absolute tack driver and has the smoothest action.

and this is a Winchester model 77 .22lr

Remington 700 .308

Stevens 20 gauge . This was my brothers first gun, got it for christmas in 1982. He recently gave it to me and I refinished the stock and re-blued the barrel.

Remington 597 .22lr This rifle was a freebie, thrown in w/ the 700. This is my daughter's rifle.

Yes, its a 4" Service Model. I love it also. I may be looking to get another carry handgun though, something a little smaller in size, not in caliber. Looking at a Colt Defender .45 or maybe a Kimber Ultra Carry .45. Im a small framed guy and the XD is just a little bulky feeling on me, a little heavy.

Wow! Nice rifles Bro, the 700 is on my wish list as well as an XD. I just baught a Ruger SR9c and it feels "Right" in my hand. It's smaller and lighter than the XD compact and about $150 cheaper. I'll be shooting it this Sat, so watch for a range report. I like how you got those free rifles, they are nice!

I agree it is heavy

I'm fat so it works for me lol, but when I want to carry lighter for hotter weather outside I also will carry this

or this one
Makarov (My wifes carry)

Yeah, I wish Springfield made a mini 1911, or so I believe that they don't. I've never had a 1911 type pistol but they are thinner. I dont want a smaller caliber, I know they are single stack mags therefore only carry like 7 +1 so being a .45 will make up for lesser quantity.

One of the guys in my tactical class on Saturday brought his Kimber Ultra. While it was a nice gun, his hands were just to big to keep a good grip on it. Every shot he had to reset. It shot fine for one of the smaller instructors though. I'll post of my gun safe by the end of the week.

Kimber is also in contention. I have small hands so it may be fine for me.

I shot a Kimber 1911 and it fit nicely in my palm (small hands too). You will not be disapointed, but they are pricey.

I carry a Kimber Tactical Ultra - love it. It shoots real nice and feels right in my hands. The Ultras all have alloy frames which makes them lighter, but it's still heavier than the plastic guns of the same dimensions. But you can never go wrong with a 1911-based firearm. Mags are 7 round versus some of the other small size 1911's using 6-round mags.

If you have the money, you could also consider the Wilson Combat "Bill Wilson Carry Pistol" http://www.wilsoncombat.com/p_bwc.htm

Well, my wife wanted to buy me a pistol for Christmas so of course I didn't try to stop her. We went to a popular gun shop in Richmond just to window shop today. They had some new Springfield Micro 1911s but they wanted too much for a new one. They had this used Kimber Ultra Carry II .45 . I was originally looking at the Kimber but they are pricey for a new one. I picked this used one up for about $200 less than new. I just need to get a holster now. I need to get a better pic. Here is a better pic.

VEDDY nice! I never would've considered an Officer's-sized 1911, until I got my Ultra Covert about a year ago as part of a deal for my POF-415.

Crimson Trace grips are waaaaay too pricey for me, but they come with the gun! I just added a custom Kimber ambi-safety to it! :)

One of the holsters I use for my Kimber Ultra is the Galco King Tuk KT218B. I also have the Galco Paddle Lite PDL424B. I like both of them.

From what I hear, the Milt Sparks VM2 is THE holster but at $250 and 6 month wait...

ETA: Looks the the VM2 prices have come down a bit :)

I have a Crossbreed Supertuck for my XD and I ordered one for the Kimber last night. I opted for the horsehide on this one, supposed to be a bit softer. Total was $93. They say 7 business days.

I got my holster in the mail today. Its a Crossbreed SuperTuck. I have one for the XD also except this time I opted for horsehide. The horsehide is supposed to break in a little softer yet it adds $15 to the price. It was $93 shipped. These jeans fit nice normally so they are a little snug with the holster in but I couldn't wait to change jeans. You can see how these holsters really tuck it in tight to your body, well worth the money.

Just added this today. I traded the Springfield XD and accessories for this little beauty. It has night sights, 7 mags, 2 holsters, bot wood grips and Hogue rubber grips, with orig box and manual.
