Has anyone noticed a slow down in the forum? I have a pretty large internet connection and all my other sites are snapping open as usual but this site seems to be having a delay last few days. I know where getting busy on here just curious if anyone else has noticed it.

Only when on my cell phone.. sometimes it takes a while for the "reply" box to open. But my laptop seems fine....

Its not you. It seems really slow to me too for about the last week or so. I thought I was the only one.

I have not noticed it but I will keep an eye on it, there have been no changes that would effect speed so I would think it is an outside issue.

I've noticed it, as slooower too.
Does anyone else get logged off, for no apparent reason?
If I'm reading a thread that is longer and navigate somewhere else, I'm getting a message to log on again.
As if there are too many users and the server is booting users to make room???
Yes the box is checked to remember me, but when I go back I have to enter the log in info.

This problem might be because you are loging onto the xk-forum, log onto theultimatejeep.com and save your log in again and you should be good.

Thanks,
I added UltimateJeep as a favorite but I didn't delete XKForum as a favorite and I have been clicking XK forum favorite tab.
My bad XK forum favorite has been removed only leaving UltimateJeep.
Thanks again...

Well, it was my fault I guess even though this site was loading the slowest out of all the sites I visit my router took a dump. Today when we woke up everyone was complaining that the internet was running real slow so I performed some tests. My cable modem direct connect was maxing out at 33 MPS pretty good speed but same test going threw the router was 500 KPS :( Did some work and some reboots and it eventually made to 1 MPS totally unacceptable. It was an old G router but even when it was working it was working at only half my connection speed and was horrible at streaming videos from one device to another. So off to best buy I went and I went big, got a top of the line N+ 2.5 GHZ and 5 GHZ dual band router at 480 MPS wireless speed :) :) hehehehe.... It also allows you to plug in hard drives and access them from any device so I have my 1 terabyte hard drive plugged in to that as well. It's not over kill it's really ridiculous the crap I have hooked up to the internet now. I have 3 PS3's, 4 laptops, 1 desk top, 1 wii, direct TV, 2 flat screens, 4 smart phones and a partridge in a pear treeeeeee..... I tried getting the 50MPS connection but my area don't have that yet :( So when my son and I are slaying each other on MW2 and my daughter is watching netflix and the wife is doing work we can all be happy. I also streamed some movies off my hard drive I hooked up to the router threw my PS3 to watch on my TV and the HD picture didn't miss a beat it worked great. Oh the router is a Belkin N750 I think it said. I don't think the brand is so important but any N+ dual band router would work so if things are sluggish this might be worth the investment.

Sal if your internal network cards are only G then an N router doesn't really help much.. So if you think it's fast now, grab a couple of N cards for your computers and then be even happier :)

Two of my laptops have the high speed card and one runs on the 5 ghz signal so that ones pretty quick. Im thinking about upgrading the others just not sure if it's worth it for the smaller computers.

I just bought this last week and it is awesome.

It's a modem and wireless router combo. One unit and no network cable unless you're hooking up a desktop that needs it. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

The site is on a shared server, so it's like any other computer if a lot of people are doing a lot of things then it will run slow. I have no idea how many other sites are hosted on this server, but imagine each site as a program open on your computer.. some programs take more system resources than others and I think we're making this forum into a resource hog :p

I've got Verizon FIOS, which has some nominally decent speed for a home setup - https://theultimatejeep.com/images/imported/2011/11/1619079541-1.png

Nonetheless, this is the slowest site that I visit more than once a day.

But even your speed test gives this site a A+ and indicates it is 98% faster than other US sites.

I've never had a problem with speed on this website... at all. I've had problems with the other site loading up though. I like to move quickly and hit the 'END' button as soon as a page loads... some times pages with pics keep bumping the view location up - pushing me further and further from the bottom.. until they all load. Actually irks the crap out of me. Never had that issue here though.

That's from home - I think they have a higher tier than this, still, although Lord knows I have everything BUT the Playboy Channel, and have the bundle package (phone/internet/cable).

Yes it's shared too unless you are paying for a dedicated server which is significantly more per month (around $50-60 a month for a basic one)
