What diameter wheel? Sticking with 17s or going to 18s?

EvilJager

17" rims sorry

Matt

Have you considered the km2s and the mtrs? I think they come in both sizes.

I don't see a 37 fitting though, especially since most 37s are 13.5+ wide. Id focus on a 35x12.5....

I found a few thay were 12.5... when i get it back i need to do some tire testing

Matt

Oh Yeah... there are some pizza cutter tires available, they're just few and far between, gravely reducing the options.

With a 6" lift I still don't see a 37x12.5 tire working out.... are there some WK guys running 35x12.5s (that'd be 315 for metric width, not 285) on 4" lifts? I thought most 4" lift guys were running 285/70/17 (or close to that)... 315/70/17 is very close to a 35x12.5 (except for the bfg at's which run really small in the size)

I am still think the Baja Claw TTC would be cool. There is also the Intecro M-16 that is a pretty aggressize tread and still has road maners. I dont know pricing though.

check out Kevlar Mt/R's they come in a 35x12.50 and a 38x14.50 - I love the look of those, but I think they are directional - so no rotating to different sides.

Or if you are feeling crazy go with Boggers! lol

EvilJager
10-20-2011, 05:50 AM
Haha no boggers for me

My bro in law has been on a search for a set of MT's for his 2011 Ram. He had narrowed it down to the Nitto Trail Grappler and Dick Cepek Mud Country's. Both are awesome and go for about 300-350 each. He ended up going with the Dick Cepek.

Wow that's expensive! Was it because of his rim size?

Yes he's got 20 inch wheels. He ordered a set of 20 inch XD Crank wheels, the Dick Cepek Mud Country tires, and the leveling kit for his truck this morning. Should look pretty good once its all installed.

Matt

Those are the tires I'm running and I paid $192 installed obviously not 35" tires. But when I got mine they were the cheapest out of comparable brands and style and of course they have performed beyond expectations. My next set won't be MT's though there great but I want something not so loud next time.

Idk about side to side but they definitely need to be rotated as do all mud tires or they tend to cup

I feel like with the pitbull's or any hardcore M/T you are drifting away from DD capability. By DD capability im talking about running a tire for 10-15k miles and then having to buy ($$$$) tires all over again.

but as I always say - Haters gonna hate, Ballers gonna ball.

the Pitbull I posted is a radial. Still pretty aggressive, but the guy down the street from me put about 30k on his. He daily drives a F250 SD.

Yeah my next set of tires for both my Jeeps will be Maxxis tires A/T's for the WK, Bighorn for the ZJ. I was really impressed with them on Sal's, and I bet they look amazing in size 35x12.5

You must never plan to drive around with Ryder in your Jeep with those tires, lmao. He will get shaken-baby syndrome before you can get to the front entrance of your neighborhood.
