It looks like a cool place. Too bad its 8.5 hours away from me. I would like to go and learn from experienced wheelers but its a bad time right after Christmas plus I may be visiting the out-laws in D.C. the week before Christmas so two trips within a month is probably a no-go. I'd love to get out with you guys soon though.

Last time I went to RC i blew my transfer case on a crazy hill climb coming out of lake christy. I'd like to tackle that hill climb again because I know I would have made it had the t-case not grenaded. Unfortunately i damaged the t-case about two weeks prior to the RC trip and that hill climb was the icing on the cake. Note to self. Dont try to pull out full size pickup trucks burried in mud holes up to its mirriors!

My brother will be tagging along with me. He has a 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ that he sunk about $20,000 into after his father passed away. Its got about 6-7 inches of lift, Full Smittybuilt Tube fenders, rock sliders and corner guards, 4.6 liter stroker motor, rear G2 dana 60 rock jock with detroit locker, front G2 dana 44 with ARB locker (4.56 gears) and the list goes on an on.....

Hey sweethearts... first off i've done overnight winter backpacking trips (actually my friend wants to do a snowshoeing trip this winter but i dont think im going to be able to; busy with the kids). So don't give me that "oh you're scared of the cold crap" lol.

For one, i dont get away often because of the kids, and with the infant i also don't get a lot of sleep. So i'd like to drive somewhere, have a good dinner with some friends, kick back a few cold ones and get a good night of rest!

And secondly, pretty sure my friends wives are coming. As cool as they may be, not many women like sleeping in tents in the winter (if it were summer they'd be all for it!)

Not going to make it. Thought about it but that's a long drive and a lot of money between gas park fees and hotel for one day of wheeling I'm looking at about $450 and that's to much right now. The 9hr drive sucks too LOL

We'll have to set up a trip in the spring/summer time frame for us to bring out "little ones" wheeling. Keep it on the greens and just have a blast with the kids. I know my son would love it.

LMAO aha hahahahaaha the coordinates are in last ears thread. But it's about 10 miles from Troy NC

Troy is a 10 hour drive... not horrible, i've done 13 and 18 hr straight drives before...

Maybe even split the drive up a bit and knock out 8 hours on the way down, then meet you guys the next morning after ~ 2 more hours (i cant sleep in hotels anyway so leaving at 6am is no big deal)

Im still in for Sunday and my one friend is not bringing his XJ. He cant get the trailer for that day. So its his Grand Overland with a 2" lift. Solid front axle year whatever that is? My friend with the FJ Cruiser is either riding with me or taking his FJ and rocking the creek with that.. Small group but thats fine with me! I'll have to see about the unwarrie trip. Maybe I can make it a family Camping trip? Hopefully we'll have our new travel trailer by then?!
