New Member, Need some crash repair ideas.....

Just signed up and need some ideas in a hurry. First, a little about myself. Been around Jeeps for a minute. Had a 2000 TJ for 10 yrs before trading it in on the Commander. Took that thing everywhere and put it thru hell. Been lurking for awhile, mainly been looking for a way to put a front hitch on my Commander. Well, Bambi's mom decided to be suicidal and jump outta the corn field in front of me last Sat. Now my Commander looks like this.

$2000 in damages on the bumper, headlight mounts, fender flair, wheel well liner, AC Condenser, and maybe a tweak to the bumper cross member. So I'm thinking aftermarket steel bumper. Been searching for a few, but finding alot that are not being made still. So help me search out a possible front bumpers. Something simple, black, with front tow points and a hitch. Thanks for the great site!

The Steel Armadillo will be manufacturing the steel replacement front bumper for the Jeep Commander during the first week of November, I do not know what the cost will be yet but it will be worth the wait.

We begin production on Monday November 7th, There are so many ideas in my head right now that this might turn into a two bumper project instead of just one.

Going into real production? Or is this a first build. Sorry if it has been addressed before. from the pics on your site, it looks like you have built one at least. I'd just like to see one soon so I can either get it sceduled into the shop or wait for a bumper.

I read that... My thought is, if it goes into production on the 7th, then the R&D is done and they know what they are gonna build. So in theory, There is a R&D bumper sitting around and has been mounted, test fit, etc.... Sorry if I'm being too much of a rush, I just wanna see if this is something I wanna wait on to fix my XK. It's either this or the 4xGaurd Matrix setup.

I would definitely hold out to see what Jon comes up with.... we gave him some great ideas in the other thread; it may be a "must have" when its ready...

I agree I would wait for the bumper to come out.

It will be worth the wait, We will start putting together the first one this week and it should be ready by the end of the week if all goes well.

What might slow me down just a little is that we are going to be working on three different products at the same time to make best use of our mounting system and a few other ideas.

We have Jacob's Commander in the shop and have developed what we think is the perfect mounting system and on Saturday we hope to start to see what it will look like as a complete bumper.
