Hey all,

So my buddy picked up a dirtbike and wants to head up to URE on December 10th-11th. Well I have decided to try my rig out a bit while he is up there.

Dont really have details, but if you want to join us, let me know. Ive never been up there, and would love to have some other WK/XKers up there too.
Were thinking of heading up there Saturday and wheeling Sat and Sunday some.

I think we are planning on camping on the trail, so it could get chilly. And I dont think we will go if it rains, yes call us girls if you want.

I'm always up for a trip to URE! but we will see when it gets closer to the date. Not sure if I like making plans weather dependent LOL the rain makes the place more fun :)

Ok Bumping this thread.Its looking more and more like I will be going.

Im planning on heading up there Saturday Morning, Camping out there and heading home Sunday at some point.

Would love to wheel with some of you local guys, as I have never been to Uwharrie.

I just forund out the Uwharrie will close on the 19th of this month. So I'm hoping to get my sliders on and go that last weekend. I don't think its feasible to get my sliders in and then on by the 10th but if a miracle occurs I will be there.

I hear ya guys. If it doesnt happen this weekend, there is always next spring when they open back up. I cant make the 18th I will be at my Bros graduation.

The 18th is the last weekend until it reopens in April so I'll be there one way or the other. I would go this weekend as well but the last time I went with out rocker protection I did some serious damage :(

Cant make it next weekend, I will have to hook up with you guys in april when it reopens, no worries.

Yeah, I dont have rocker protection so Im going to be a big girl on the trail this time, so you wont be missing much haha.

Oh and I don't have rocker protection either. I just pucker up and grit my teeth waiting for a crunch, lol

butt cheecks my friend. Last time I went, I decided to try this ledge. I've seen Sal do it a few times but he has low range, I don't. So Sal is spotting me you know passenger, a little driver and then my tires pop up over the ledge and I know the next rock is getting clsoe to my rocker. I see Sal go:eek: If Sal puckers up just watching, it's definielty a close call!

Saturday low will be kinda of cold -I camped at Goose Creek State Park this past spring and temp decided to drop to 19 degrees. Wasn't expecting it to drop that much and all I had on me was a wool blanket. I sleep much better in cold weather, I hate heat.

I know it may sound cheesy, but I'm really looking forward to going back to URE again. I had a lot of fun last time. I guess I'm getting used to my rig and it's capabilities and I'm not scared to get it dinged or dented. Or maybe I'm just insane......:)

Like always, I had a great time on the trails today with some great people (they are crazy though). Sal's sliders did awesome, Aj got stuck a couple of times (HAHA!) and we all had a blast.

It was SLICK!!!!! It had rained a lot yesterday at URE and my gosh, the easy trails became hard!!!! We ALL were sliding all over the place.

Yeah, I got stuck a few times. Left Uwharrie with a few battle scars too. Tested a few products, too - lol. But I only need to get tugged once! Besides, You can't have any fun when you watch everyone pick a good line - I like to make my own - Sometimes those lines are risky. Today showed me I need to order my Belly Guard asap. So I'll be get'n that really soon.

Thanks for coming out guys, and thanks for letting me stay over again, Sal! Had a blast. Sal Also fixed my lights, built (from scratch), an organizer for my back, and donated me a Gerber multitool to me. If I got NOTHING for christmas, I would still be a very happy camper. Thanks a bunch, bro! I'll be tossing up my pics soon.

Yea you're right. I was standing a little close. I was further away but when we pulled AJ backwards, his rig slid about 2 feet towards me because we were pulling him kinda at an angle.
