Thanksgiving weekend in a big weekend for us.... it's our "traditional" tree weekend. That's in quotes because it's a tradition we started with our son, who is only 2 this year.. lol but we've stuck to it!

I'm uploading pictures now. Tree's not done yet, still needs ornaments... but its "dinner/bath/bed time" for the kids now.

So for all of you out there who are proud of your tree's; show them off!

This is our traditional tree weekend as well. Been decorating the Friday after Thanksgiving since I can remember. My tree is almost done :) I'm still using the base my dad grew up with it rotates the tree around and play's music :)

We put our tree up yesterday as well, I will post up a photo when we are finished decorating it. The family was giving me a bad time at how old our tree is (20 years), they think it is time for a new one. :)

The stand has outlets built into the top of it so the outlets are rotating since there in the stand. I went to take a picture and my kid ran the camera battery down so sometime tonight I'll get one up.

What's with the trailer? You've got a roof rack! :)

That's about the only thing that goes up on my rack. Once or twice a year the spare tire goes up for a day.

lol i was waiting to take some flak for that!!

Had to move the trailer anyways... figured we'd kill two birds with one stone and save my back a bit considering i had a lot of other yard work i was doing.

It's nothing special just yet but this is from Friday night. My daughter placing the first ornament on the tree, nothing like pj's and tree decorating. I'll try to get one of the finished product when I get back home in a couple of weeks.

I don't have any pics, but like Sal - We've always put our Christmas tree and lights around the house the Friday right after Thanksgiving. We've done this as long as I can recall - Has always been a family event. :)

It's a family event whether they like it or not.
We give ourselves the whole weekend to try to keep it low stress. We go back and forth on live or fake. This year we went fake. The old one was pretty rough so off to Home Depot for a new one.
It was not a cheap trip.
Room looks nice though.
I'll take some pix and post them up later.

Christmas is very different the first time you decorate with your wife as opposed to decorating with your other family.
We argued about the stupidest things. We still argue about stupid things, but we know that and move on so it isn't as stressful.
Spent last weekend at Childrens hospital with my son and this weekend we are going to a Christmas party in Lansing. We'll get
to decorate soon.

Got the tree & the lights up yesterday - decorations to come. Got some sort of new coma-inducing lights this year  - my Autistic children loved them, though! :p

My daughter was the same way the first couple of years, had her hands all over it. She drove my wife crazy. LOL Now, its the dog and her tail knocking everything off in the floor.
