This look great. I wonder if you could install hood struts or the rear hatch struts to help lifting it and it could also help hold it up. This looks like my next project. Of course, my WK will be a little different but along the same lines.

i finally removed my rear seats after 1 year of not using them and used the space for gear. i used alot of ideas i seen on here thanks for the ideas. just sux i had a hard time trying to find carpet to match but eventually i will get some somehow, im also going to get a strut to hold the lid up

okc2010commander; I use a rubber mat I got from WalMart on top of the box. It's loose so I can lay it over the key/pull on top.
and take out to clean. I wanted something easy to clean and would not hold water or smell.

Oh the beverage retainment system is made from an oversized cargo new and bungee straps.
I put 3 screws thru the bottom strap into the plastic to keep rolling cans in check.
