Just booked a real nice cottage in Surf City NC. I used to hang there when I was a young Jarhead stationed at Camp Lejuene. I love that friggin place!!

Still waiting for my wife to book our trip... going to be my first summer vacation in ~15 years. Planning on hitting up OBX for a week... 4x4 access only.

Sounds cool I never been there.Its a really nice little island. We went there 2 yrs ago, my wifes sister rented a place that was there. I was thrilled, it sure has grown like crazy since the early eighties. Its still has a lot of beach and not a lot of people. Gonna throw a couple of kayaks on the roof of the XK and do some inter coastal paddling. I was able to rent a 4 bedroom 3 bath place for under 1200. A cottage that close to the shore, that large would cost about 4-5 grand here in CT.
