So in early 2011 My jeep caught fire. Long story short, Transmission went, took it to dealer. Dealer was way over priced, had the jeep towed to a new shop, during the tow battery was still connected and the starter rubbed the frame poof up went my electrical system. after a month of hell, jeep was returned to me fixed (on dealers dime). It was a bad patch of my life - car issues and wife had health problems. Both all fixed now.

Looking good. That was a heckuva deal on those tires/wheels too!
I just hate those places like what you got stuck in. There's a hint of a road (or at least tracks) across a "pudding pit" that you can't even walk through, let alone drive. I swear those kind of places are purpose built booby-traps. Someone probably backed up and pulled forward to the mud pit a few times on each side so it looks like "it goes." Was there someone watching you with binoculars from a hillside? :)
One of the funniest things I'd ever seen was back in the good ol' days of mudding. (See my photos on the "old past rides" thread) We'd all get plastered with the roof and doors off, or at least keep the windows down. The snatch straps never got put away until we were back on pavement, because we stayed busy pulling each other out. One guy was staying dry, and we were calling him "Mr. Clean." He finally gets stuck in stuff like you did, except the Jeep was somewhat sideways on a ditch bank. Mr. Clean opens the door, and tries to jump to the ditch bank. He slips and falls, and slides under the Jeep and disappears - he was completely submerged in the stuff. He pops back up, and he was just a vague humanoid shape of dropping mud!

LOL yeah. Tried to have a 5.2 TJ and a normal TJ pull me out at the same time... No dice. Had to call in a f250 and basically snatch me outta there. The suction of the mud was the killer.
never again.

YES! another WK build - LOVE IT! And yea... those F250's are brutal. I'm not gonna lie.. Ford trucks are pretty amazing, If I ever owned a truck (and Jeep didn't come out with one) It would be a Ford. I watched an F150 snatch a ZJ and whip it around like a rag doll out of the mud. Good trucks... just too big to wheel with.
Happy to see your build thread here, "Papa Bone" :D

My Flowsound muffler. Yeah its a knock off, but it sounds great and very deep. And at 80$ installed with a lifetime warranty, I couldnt pass it up. I would have a video but it was a bit loud for my phone's camera. I will try again a little further away next time.

I do have one problem, the skid was bent, and I was only able to bolt up 3 bolts.. See pictures below. Im thinking I will just get a longer bolt and just use that as leverage to screw it in and bend it back into place.
Thoughts?

Get it in a vice with some heat and bend it back. But that's just me. Your way just make sure there is room for that longer bolt to go.

Sal I would do that but my tools are somewhat limited. I think I have to do it the caveman way. Lol.
Just use a floor jack and a piece of wood, bend it up and bolt it on

Its a firestik stainless steel. I would hope it being a USA company that they actually use SS and not just say it lol. Time will tell though.

Thanks Guys!
Well I tested it out yesterday, I think 40mph was her limit. The flag is just a but too large and my antenna is too long I think. I removed it since everywhere I need to go is via highway. It did look cool though.
On to a new idea as to how to fly it
What if you used fishing line from the tip of the antenna to your roof rack so the antenna would be supported both top & bottom?

Hmm that might work.. or I find a pole and have it welded to a hitch of some sort

Lol - yeah, im thinking a trip on the north end of CB is in order this weekend. My wife cannot wait to push him out, she has been miserable these last few weeks. 8 months preg + 100 degree heat + humidity = Not fun times for me or her.
