Hi all, so I am supposed to have automatic headlights. I have an "A" on my light stalk but when I have it in "A" my lights are off. Also, I don't have the rain sensor on the windshield and my delayed wipers are low speed instead of a delay. I suspect the windshield was replaced and the rain sensor was not replaced and that is causing both my wipers to not have a delay and also my head lights to not work in automatic.

My question: With Auto-wipers, is there an "A" on the wiper stalk? How can I check to see if I have auto-wipers minus the rain sensor.

thanks in advance.

No A on the stalk for wipers.

Check up front up at the headboard, my headboard has a little half circle cut out which has a small cluster of wires (wrapped in loom) drop out of and plugs into the sensor on the windshield. I imagine if you are supposed to have rain sensing, that cluster of wires is tucked up inside the half circle and you should be able to pull it back down.

I think you have to buy a new windshield though to make them work, because the sensor is built in. But maybe it's something you can just stick on?

We'll see how carmax handles it. They say they'll fix this type of thing. Today they basically told the wife after 2 hours at the shop that they would need it for a day and they would send it to the jeep dealer to figure it out. They agree that it has auto lights and they should work and that the delay wipers aren't working. I'll be curious what jeep tells them needs to be fixed. I read on another forum that when you swap the windshield out for one without a sensor you get these symptoms.
