A while back I had a guy I know service my tranny and diffs. I got a good deal, or so I thought. He owns a transmission shop and he needed some paint work done so we traded work. So I had it back a couple of months and I noticed the transmission pan was seeping a little fluid. No big deal, he said just run it by one day and he would take care of it. So he got it back and " took care of it ". I had it maybe a month and it started seeping fluid again. Well , he wasn't getting it back. I took it to the shop that we use at work. They do all of our alignments and do servicing on our rentals at work. I've had them do alignments and inspections on my own vehicles also. So I took it to them today and it cost me $150 bucks. They said that the gasket didn't look new to them. They also said that there was some RTV sealant on the pan and the gasket does not call for any sealant. That must have been the quick fix that was done on the second visit stated earlier. So I trust that it was taken care of this time, we will have to wait and see.
