I'd like to try to make it, but I can't commit to it. The boss [wife] always finds other things for me to do.

So, are you going just to hang out, or are you showing off your XK? Are you looking for more XKs for show? I checked out the website, and it sounds like a nice car show / swap meet. I just wanted to be clear on what your vision for that day is.

By registering for the show they block out a spot for us to park together.

Then it's just hanging out. Kick back some drinks, eat some food, check out the other cars & trucks in the show, walk through the swap meet (I usually buy some tools at Eppys tent).

I don't mind being the only Commander there. Just trying to get us doing more "club like" things, put faces to the names, etc. :)

Since my decision to attend will probably be last minute, will I still be able to park with you grocery getters, or do I have to register early for that privilege?

It depends on how many people pre-register. As the group gets bigger they block out more room for us and its easier to fit late arrivals in.... but if only 2 or 3 of us pre-register they'll probably line us up on the track and here wont be much room between us and the next club.

Will you know a day or so before? I can evaluate our spot when I get there and try to save you a space if I know you're coming.

Well I'm retired Air Force, I love cooking, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking and having a good time. I moved from Tenn, to Mass after my brother died...I have been married for 10 years and have 4 kids...9 yr old son and 5 yr old triplets. 12191220

The kids coming with you? Mine will be there... but they're a bit younger (2 year old and 10 month old).

I'll be bringing a cooler with water/soda/beer... i normally get a sausage sandwich there (though its a bit pricey, sort of a tradition of mine).

I also plan to head straight there since i'll have my two young kids, so I'll have about an hour window of potential arrival times lol.

I'm bring my cooler also, We are not bringing the kids this time but me and the wife will be there Friday sometime, we are going to stop and see here family that lives about an hour away from there, and they are Italian.

I keep getting good news...looks like I may not be coming now Matt. My doctor called me Friday night with my surgery date...it's the Friday before the show. I don't think I will be driving for a few days,so unless I can talk my brother into going it doesn't look good. This is turning into a very dissappointing year.

Yea that's what I keep telling myself Matt. After the surgery in May I'll be getting another in July,and then I'm a free man. I won't be going back to work until at least Oct/Nov. so I should be able to fit plenty in that time frame.

TUJ's are definitely lacking in attendance however! (slackers)
Was awesome to meet Erik; he's a great guy and happy he bought an XK and joined our group! :)

Lol that note was getting some good looks. That's actually a photo album I put together of off-road pics for people to check out. (But it only had ~5 pictures since I did it last minute.)

..... the only other TUJ member there was Erik, and he's from Massachusetts! I have a lot of work to do on these NJ members (well except for carn75... surgery is a valid excuse!)
