Looking to see if anyone has the install instructions out of the service manual on the torque specs for the Upper and Lower Control arms for the front end. I'll be installing the new Lower Control arms and JBA HD UCA's tomorrow morning and need anything I can get with the proper specs for a 2007 XK 4.7 liter. I would have started tonight but the dealer gave me a few wrong bolts/nuts that I ordered a few days ago.

lower control arm rear bolts = 65ft lbs, front bolt 125ft lbs, ball joint nut to 70ft lbs

upper control arm bolts = 80ft lbs, ball joint nut to 70ft lbs

Hmmm both of you listed different torque specs. Does anyone have the actual service manual removal/install instructions?

Edited to clarify where the info came from. Both from OEM service manuals

Thanks to the both of you. So the original numbers you posted Matt were for the 05 WK right?

Yes, i have a digital copy of that so I threw those out there while I dug out my 07 XK manual. Actually surprised a few of them are different.

Awsome, well thanks once again. Install will take place in the morning after a trip to the dealer. The gave me the wrong bolts/nuts for the lower control arm strut fork and I have all new lower control arm front/rear bolts that will be in at 8am.

Thanks. I love working on the XK and this install will be pretty easy. Then straight to the shop for alignment!

Looking forward to seeing how that alignment comes out. You have specs of the current alignment right?

No I don't. It's been awhile.

When it goes in for alignment, they just align it to factory specs right? Also doesn't the print out show the current specs?

Yup, just have it aligned to factory specs.

The printout will show "before" and "after" specs, but i was more curious about how the specs changed between new control arms vs JBA control arms. But its not a big deal... when my arms go i'll be getting JBA regardless for the serviceability (i dont expect any bushings or balljoints to hold up to our abuse for long)

With me changing out the lower control arms at the same time I really wouldn't be able to come up with before and after specs for the UCA'S. The LCA's will throw everything off.

It would've just been a comparison of the best the alignment could be with stock arms and the best the alignment could be with JBA arms... a gauge of how much the new arms help get the alignment back to nominal as opposed to "just barely in spec" with the OEM arms. The LCA wouldn't throw it off that much; but its no big deal... just would have been interesting if you had the printout from your previous alignment to compare. :)

I was just thinking.....I do have a print out of last alignment in the glove box of the XK. Last time I had an alignment was 14 months ago though..lol Feb 2011

I'm having trouble locating the paperwork from my last alignment but ill keep looking. Here is the print out from today. The caster is a little off but he said there is nothing you can do for that. Keep in mind. The before specs where the adjustments I made to the lower control arms when I installed them.
