Ok the FB rumor mill is in full swing. The rumor is that SL is not going to make our 4" lift anymore. We need away to confirm this. Jon have you heard anything?

I saw the chatter on FB too. I was always wanting a SL, but honestly I wasn't sure if I would have ever gotten the chance to buy one..

Now from what I understand is Rustys has a 4" but its basically the SL + a couple of their parts, so that means its off the market as well?

I also hear there is a Zone kit, but from what I hear Zone is the "cheapo" brand to go with. But I have no experience just web wheeler talk I have seen.

Post on FB says kolak has some left and is excepting payments on them. Just passing it along I know not everyone here is that FB page.

I can't swing a kit now anyways....

Back in January Rough Country told me they had plans for a kit.... so I hope they come through. If there are really no lift kit options that will have an impact on my vehicle plans. Hopefully when these tires are shot ill be going to 4-5" and 33s

I would see if Marlin from JBA knows anything since he has a daily working relationship with them. I certainly would be willing to pick it up but I am sure SL will want way to much for the plans and copy write.

There's a lot that goes into an IFS kit....

If I had the knowledge of the staff to do it I would, but that's way over my level of knowledge at this point. I am open to reverse engineering if someone wants to assist.

They mentioned on FB that its the company its self going bankrupt I guess not just cancelling our lift. Either way this economy is hitting lots of people pretty hard.

I happen to know someone with in driving distance from you that has one :D Shouldn't be too difficult and I would have a few suggestions/mods to the kit!

I am sure we could work something out but it might take more than one day :)

Oh only about 360 miles :D

I figured lol!!! Well we will see what ends up coming out of all of this. If SL does go under and no one buys it and you are really interested, you know where I am. I would love to work with you again!

They won't have to close now... They sold all their lifts and made lots of money! :)

Matt

It was a ploy to sell off some inventory to decrease money tied up in overhead....

Kind of like when businesses put out a sign in front that says "Going Out For Business!!!!" Everyone rushes to buy everything there because they think they are going out OF business, not going out FOR business. It's all marketing man.

4xG sold out of everything when they announced they were going out of business.

So they are not going bankrupt and not ending the WK/XK lift?

I'm still not sure where the information originally came from? Usually something like that will show up with some google searching

Rumours about SL going bankrupt have been out there for a few years now. After I purchased the XK lift, they claimed that they were working on the rear trailing arm issue and would announce something in early 2012. I have heard nothing since.

It would be a pity if they stopped making anything for the XK - great truck even with a 2" lift but with the 4" lift its not only more capable, its intimidating to other drivers (and we all like that!).

As far as I know superlift fixed that issue and sells new lower control arms with their kits.

^^^ Yes along with a few other small tweaks with the kit. The revised kit started being manufactured and sold in Nov-Dec 2011.
