Well the XK is gone and to a new happy owner. I was sad to see it go, but it's time for a change. It was a lot of fun building the rig up to where it was and I certainly learned a lot about the capabilities of the XK. I am now looking at a new Rubicon and will likely pick that up next week. I made some friends here and I will not be "gone" in that respect.

I found that most dealers have no respect for what this vehicle represents, but on the open market it is possible to find someone who understands modding a vehicle to increase capability.

Now for the hard part - black, green, white - what colour should the new one be?

Hope to see you all on the trails real soon!

James

Could not resist with the offer I got. I am having the new one built at the dealer - 2-1/2" lift, 34's, armor, lights and it will be all factory warranty. Yeah I am thinking the Black-Green w Tan interior would be the bomb!

Believe it or not, my daughter is not talking to me for selling the XK. I was sad to see it go, but it was a good economic decision.

Just because you will no longer own a XK does not mean you are not welcome here. Keep coming back and telling us about your new ride.

I don't plan on going away at all!

I would go green or white... black vehicles just show too much damage for something that's going to be wheeled.

Sorry to see the XK go though :(

Is the new owner gonna register here??

Sad to here, I know it was a tough call. My brother in-law just bought a jk. They are cool. Better gas mileage for sure.

I'll be in the market for a JK soon to, but will be holding onto my WK. I like the white with dark interior, or the silver with black.... I cant wait. But I just have a few more high-dollar mods to do.

I guess that means you won't be in Moab :(
The green JKs look really nice IMHO though.

Sad to see it go J. I like your facebook pics of the new JK though. I was drooling at the Nav system and tan interior.

FYI I recently had a friend of mine trade in his 2008 Rubicon for a 2012 Rubicon... he said the new engine is a million times better; so you made a good choice!

That would be my exact purchase. Maybe the arctic addition so have the black wheels, but then you loose the saddle brown. Congrats on a BA new JKU
