Well here are a few sneak peaks at the new rear differential skid plate that will be available in the near future:

I do not know the price yet but will update this thread when more info is available.

Sweet!

One recommendation- use an upwards facing square bolt on each side instead of a downward facing U-bolt. It'll require another part to clamp to the top of the axle, but then you wont have any bolts or extrusions out the bottom.

You can probably use some generic spring perches for the top side:

I know that's a hard area to slam but it can happen so I like Matt's idea.

Should be an easy change from what I have, I will check into the additional parts.

Does anything else hold it in place besides the 2 ubolts? I can't see anything at the front to keep it from rotating.

The front is still being worked on, I needed the skid installed to see what options I have. One thing I am considering is two bolts that would go up throug hthe bottom and attanch to two holes drilled into the housing but I am not sure how many people would be willing to drill the two holes. Our differentials are so large you cannot get a u-bolt around them.

Might want to use a steel strap setup.

Don't recall what the fins on the diff look like... but my gut feeling tells me there's not enough material there to bolt something to that's expected to be bashed against rocks.

I'm trying to remember a similar steel strap setup I've seen..... basically only one side would have a bolt and that's used to tighten it down.... I can visualize it, just can't remember the application...

I am liking the products SA is coming out with lately..

This thing looks like it will be beefy, and a much needed mod for anyone on the rocks. I know I am always paranoid im going to bash my rear diff on some random rock.

I bang my dif all the time :( its pretty stout though I worry more about hitting the yoke on stuff especially when climbing big ledges this would solve that issue as well :)

Everyone had questions and some concerns about the sliders as well if we remember. So some good testing of these on camera of course will settle everyone's concerns and then probably fly of the shelf. Another fine product man!

Hey Jon I will gladly be a test mule for this! I have been needing one badly. Glad you are getting around to making it. If there isn't already a waiting list then it starts behind me :D

This item really needs the welder, I hope to have one this week or I will be learning myself.
