So I've finally decided to sell my Commander. I bought it at the end of last June, and it's just more vehicle than I need. Don't need a 3rd row, and don't need the Hemi anymore. Has been a great vehicle for the time I've owned it. This is my DD so the miles will be slowly going up. I've also never taken it offroad. The tires have about 10k miles on them, the shocks and the lift have about 6k on them. Asking for $17,000.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that there is an extended service contract that is transferable and good until ~112k.

I told my friend about it... not sure if he'll pull the trigger or not though.

Thanks. I want to get it gone soon so I can order my JKU, since ordering starts up soon.

Looks like we're both in the same boat, I've had mine for sale (off an on) for a couples months now with no serious buyers; just tire kickers. Ironically the Subaru dealership I used to work for sold two XK's identical to mine (about 60k miles on both) for $18k plus taxes and fees.

Good luck with your sale! There are buyers out there, just gotta reach them!

FSBO at those prices is rough. I would try finding a dealer to take them on consignment.

Yea, I've had a couple of people interested, but they turned out to be time wasters or scams. I may end up trading it in when my JKU arrives. Hopefully I'll have it gone before then though.

Depending on how your state works, trade in isn't bad if you get a good price.... here in NJ you don't pay tax on the price of the trade in when buying another vehicle. So if I traded in the XK for $13000, I'd save 7% of that and pay $910 less taxes on the new vehicle purchase.

It is an option I'm thinking of looking at. Especially since I ordered my JKU today.

Yesterday I was at the gas station and another XK rolls up to the pump with a 30 day tag. The guy gets out and notices my for sale sign on the window; of course he asks my price to which I replied $17k takes it. The look on the guys face was priceless!!! He just paid $17,700 for a 2007 4.7 Sport 2WD w/ about 50k miles.

It kind of was a sign of relief to know my price isn't out of this world. lol!

It's not a lot but again a buyer coming to a private sale with that amount of money is not common and if it's not paid off it's even more complicated or a turn off. People get a certain comfort going to the dealer at that price range. Financing is also an issue most people get theres threw the dealer which I don't do but most do.

That's a good point to mention. Buyers would need either cash in hand or be pre-approved for financing from their bank or credit union.
