Colorado Meet Up?

I have missed the past few Camp Commanders and am itching to bounce around the Rockies again with fellow Commanders. With my wife traveling the end of July, I thought it might be a good time for a meet-up since she doesn't care much for it anyway. Is anyone interested in meeting me in SW Colorado (probably Silverton area) July 27-30?

It sounds like something might be coming together! Great! I need to verify my wife's flight info to make sure I have the dates correct. Knappster, my wife is flying out of Phoenix, so maybe we can caravan up together, or at least meet up part of the way (Holbrook, maybe). Is the Silverton area ok for those interested? I am open to other suggestions, but don't want to drive too deep into Colorado since I will be travelling (and towing our RV) alone.

I'll post the finalized dates tomorrow.

I'll be in Sacramento, CA on business July 22-25 and plan on doing the Rubicon Trail afterwards then spending a week in Yosemite and Tuolomne Meadows climbing, however my climbing buddy is having surgery and may not be recovered in time. If so, I would be interested in this Colorado adventure.

I have the dates confirmed. I will arrive in Silverton on the afternoon of Friday, July 27th. I will leave on the morning of Monday, July 30th.

I will likely stay at Red Mountain RV but haven't reserved a spot yet. I will post my site # once I have it.

So, who's in?

Update: I have made a reservation for an RV spot in Silverton at Red Mountain (http://www.redmtmotelrvpk.com/) (motel, cabins, and RV park). I will arrive on July 27 and leave on July 30. This allows for two full days of trail riding. I will be bringing our 26' travel trailer. It has a queen, table that converts to a bed, and two bunks. I would be willing to share it if someone that wants to go but can't afford the hotel costs.

Anyway, I hope a few of you can join me. I don't like going on the trails alone.

I would suggest Crested Butte as a destination for 4X4. I can provide some hot air balloon rides for everyone as well. This area is as nice as it gets. I am usually on the other forum but I am unsure which one is better for reaching out. I plan to post photos of my area and the trails I have explored mixed in with balloon/Jeep shots. Let me know what you think.1777
