Will do.

If they decide to send me for an extended stay (like 2+ weeks) I want to bring the XK down and take a trip to Uwharrie one weekend. But I really hope that doesn't happen.....

Ya I know being away isn't easy but it's not to bad. Now when your gone for 15 months that sucks LOL

That's true. Longest I've been away from the kids was 2 weeks, and that sucked because I was at sea with really no phone/internet access.

Lol don't get me wrong.... I expect NO sympathy from the group here!

I was thinking today... its interesting how most XK owners are military. :)

Yea I'm close. There is New River Trail in Galax, VA that's about 20-30 mins away from me.

Ill be working at the air station.

Hold up !!! Thats a totally different place than New River, NC. The MCAS New River is in Jacksonville, NC, along with Camp Lejeune, on the coast. Cricket is in New River, NC which is near Wilkesboro, northwestern part of the state.

Lol I had to read that 3 times....

Got it! I work at the Lakehurst NAS which is actually in Lakehurst.... so bad assumption on my part to assume MCAS New River is actually in New River!

Just looked it up......I think ill Like being in Jacksonville more!

I'm not down there anymore. I was last month. If your looking for things to do, latest reports I've read is the fishing is pretty good at the Surf city pier. About 20 miles down rt 17 from J ville.

I'll only be there a few nights. Moreso looking for a drinking partner.... lol I hate going out for a few drinks while on travel and drinking alone.
