06JeepXKHEMI and I are meeting up next Saturday for a day of wheeling at Whispering Pines Off Road Park in Lyons, NY. If anyone else is interested in meeting up with us your more than welcome to tag along! We will more than likely meet up mid morning and wheel for a majority of the day.

Awesome time today poppin the cherry on the XK and great meeting 07JeepXK and his beast!! Definitely was challenging but a lot of fun. Bigger lift, tires and sliders are things I realized I need but my Jeep did awesome. Learned alot and had a great time. As far as damage, have lots of surface scratches that will keep me busy tomorrow, ripped the fender flares off couple times-easy fix on trail and gas tank skid took some hits. All in all great day lots of fun and was even more amazed with how capable the XK is.. Here are some pics...

Had a blast today! Really got to test out the XK with the 33's on some crazy off camber trails with barely any rubbing. Andrew did great for it being his first time off roading and his XK amazed me. Gotta love QD II. Just next time be a little easier on the skinny pedal and let drivetrain do the work for you!!

Im having trouble getting the pictures off my phone. I'll have to figure out what the issue is. The first set of pictures were from a regular camera.

Really not sure how to post video from photobucket either. Guess you have to click on this to view video

Yea imagine how I felt!!! Adam was a great help, definitely made a huge difference following his lines and advice. Had my pops with me which helped, he drove for a bit and was amazed just as I was with its capabilities.

That's awesome.

My last trip to Rausch was my dad's first time offroading; I made it a "fathers day" adventure. It completely changed his mind about this sport/hobby. He always thought i was just driving around the woods.... when he saw how precise you need to be with your lines, how "prepared" you need to be (we all had tool boxes filled, basically ready to fix anything on the trail", and how many people enjoy testing the limits of their vehicles, he was amazed. Since that trip, he's been telling family/friends all about it. And the best part, after 28 years he no longer gives me crap for modifying the jeep and might even get his own! lol
