Hey everyone, it has been a while and with my main job in produce slowing down some I have time to breath. I don't post on here as often as I should, sorry about that. I'll try to do better.

Here is the deal. This is another drawing for an AMSOIL OE synthetic oil change. So enter here with your one post and if you win then let me know how many qts and what weight oil, ie 0w-20, 5w-20, 5w-30 you need to do an oil change and I'll get it sent off to you. The only catch is you have to put an AMSOIL sticker on the rear window of you vehicle while you use the oil.:) OK just kidding on that sticker part. LOL But I do have a few stickers on hand for those that might want any and while my supply of them lasts. Just PM me your address.

This drawing starts now and will end next Sunday the 19th at midnight.

We'll definitely have time to change the oil.... that's easy.

aah okay. Yes I plan to use fully synthetic and will probably use amsoil if the price is right :)

I have had mechanics tell me there won't be much of a difference using semi opposed to fully; I can't really argue with them as I have lack of experience with. However, I like the peace of mind knowing I am doing anything I can to make the engine run at its best? I guess?

Yea really cant go from synthetic to normal, you can go to a blend, depending on engine, but once you run synthetic you always have to run synthetic.

It has Semi-Synehtic right now...prior to the change tonight.

The only time Ive gone from syn to a blend was because my rear main seal was leaking in my maxima and didnt feel like replacing it, so the thought was going to a slightly thicker oil would slow the leak, in theory. Ive always ran syn and dont plan on going to anything else with the HEMI

On a younger (well maintained ) engine there's not really an issue going from full synthetic back to regular.

The issue is on older engines that have always run synthetic. The additives in the synthetic oils help keep seals intact and prevent degradation. So on an older engine if you change back to economy grade dino oil that does not have these additives, you're likely to generate leaks at a quicker pace. There are however some non-synthetic oils that are meant for high mileage vehicles that contain the additives as well.

If in doubt, an oil analysis is a great way to determine the "health" of your engine.

Id definitely say our engines are new ;p....mine only has 21k. I dont see a reason to not use full synth. The prices are not too much more then semi

Yeah I'm definitely a synthetic fan. Nothing but Amsoil OE for my vehicles. ;)
