Has anyone done (or looked into) relocating the backup camera?

I'm looking for ideas of where to put it and how the view is. Also wondering if its worth relocating the camera or just getting a different camera and splicing into the existing wiring...

Did you research this on the other forum? I seem to remember this subject, but I don't remember the solution. I think Huey was looking in to this since his spare tire is out back Wrangler-style.

It works... Not perfect.. small blind spots... but A LOT better for me than not having it moved at all.

I also have had to temporally disable my back-up assist sensors since one of them "Sees" my spare tire. ( still trying to figure out a good solution for that).

So w/o the sensors I was very happy when I moved the camera even it does not give 100% coverage.

Did you see my previous setup? It wasn't a relocation but it was very functional with the camera mounted to the third upper brake light. That position was great for see everything behind you and not being off center.

I remember checking that out. I'm looking into relocations for when I put my rear tire carrier on. I don't want to render the display on the dash useless.
