I think Ahmed on JC.com went through the whole rear headrest removal thing.

Did you start taking the back of the seats apart? Are they hard to put back on properly?

Yeah I started taking the rear seat apart.... broke every clip in the process. I dont recommend taking them apart for any reason.

Matt - I have an 06 and on the underside of the headrest where the bars go in there are small plastic doohickeys that prevent me from reaching up to the release. Did yours have these too and if so how did you remove them?

Can you take a picture of yours?

Sure...

I've dug around a bit and haven't found how to get them off or at least behind them. Just didn't want to break anything just yet.

It looks like those slots are in the same location as the release.... did you try poking a small screw driver or paperclip in there?

I did but couldn't find anything. I'll dink around with it a bit more tomorrow to see what I can come up with.

Great pictures! Looks like a small screwdriver or something in those slots while putting pressure on the headrest will do the trick.

Awesome! Went right out and popped them off. I feel silly because I poked, prodded, and pried at that piece and couldn't come up with anything. Thanks much!

This is why this group is the best, when anyone has an issue everyone will do what they can to get it resolved.

Yes... I'll have to see what happen when I get home today... a few months ago my youtube got all messed up because they tried merging my youtube and google+ accounts (which I don't want)
