So who all has the dreaded door handle break/breaking going on? I know its an issue for WKs not sure about XKs.

My wife alerted me yesterday that the passenger inside handle was about to snap off. Any of you boys swapped this out or know of a write up somewhere? That would be a big help.

This is an issue for the XK's too and i've been dreading it.... especially since my son loves to use the interior door handle to pull himself up into the vehicle.

Luckily we're not stuck having to get the entire panel.

Taking a guess at your interior color, but check this out:

Wow dude thanks! Dang those are expensive! Wish they sold sets of one.

There has to be another option out there. Mine is literally dangling these days. Either way it looks straightforward to change, just a PITA.

Yeah im surprised they don't sell them in pairs like they do for the XK (but a pair for the XK is $180!!)

My 5 year old son also uses the drivers side rear door handle to pull himself up. So far no issues.

I'll post pics of mine, its bad.

Found some on eBay for 27 bucks. Im sure they aren't as good but i cant spend 200 on door handles right now. We'll see how it goes, probably will order it next week.

Seems there is even a thread on JF about trying to get them recalled... ill sign up but I'm not holding my breath.

I've read a few threads about them breaking pretty sure they all end in glue/epoxy though

My son is only three so he grabs at everything not just the door handle I've thought about anchoring something like this to the b pillar http://www.quadratec.com/products/14018_7X_PG.htm
