Installed rc 2" lift with a 3/8" spacer up front and some 265/70's to ride around on for a little while!

Tires were too small for I did the SalXK front bumper mod, cut the pinch weld and mounted some 285/70/17 Nittos!

For lighting I went with some 8000k hid's in the front, led tail lights that I tinted, and blue led accent lighting!! I've since then blacked out my turn signals, tail lights, and 3rd brake light!

I know everyone advises against it.. but i have decided to double stack my RC 2" lift on top of the OME HD 2" lift. I bought the shocks and rear coils thinking I was just going to run them and Matt's rear spacer, but in the middle of the install I ultimately decided in double stacking. I bought a set of used front OME springs from a member and just waiting on the arrival of the OME struts. These pics are current pics of my jeep with my new rims and TEMPORARY 275/60r20 Goodyears. Also it is double stacked in the rear with just the RC lift and a 3/8" spacer in the front!

You sure that rotor's on the correct side?

Edit: you should leave it like that... or do the OME + spacer in front (like im running). The stance will be about the same and work out OK. Those tires look small for a 33 though... are they bald?

The boxes were labeled front left, rear right etc. so I am hoping they are on the right side! This is the passenger side front. I am going to double stack though and run JBA's new UCA's and if it doesnt work ill do what your running. But the tires have about 35% tread left on them. They are bigger than the 285/70/17 nittos that I had.

I dont think those tires look small but if I recall correctly Kyle said they were used. I think his jeep sits a good inch or do higher than mine now

I'm a bit confused on your current setup...did you say you just installed the OME rear coils and kept your RC lift in there also for now? If so, it looks like you might have put the coils on the wrong side. One side is slightly longer to compensate for the gas tank. Looks good otherwise! I would also advise against stacking your RC lift and OME coils in the front. I would just do the OME coils with 1/2 inch spacer in the front.

07JeepXK

His xk is 2wd and I believe he plans on HD UCA's. Also it looks like his driveway isn't level. It looks like it slopes towards the drivers side

Yes I am currently running the OME coils AND RC lift int he rear. I didnt know there was a difference in the coils? I thought they were the same. And I know double stacking is ill advised but I am going to run it anyway with JBA UCA's as I'm 2wd and I will hopefully be ordering the superlift by the end of the summer (if I can find one!) Ive talked to a couple guys that double stacked and xkcowboy did it for 2 years untill something went wrong. I will only be running it for a few months til I end up doing it right.

I have a few drinks in me so my memory may be screwy right now... but I recall the slots being oriented in the other direction. some install instructions got screwy due to the "drivers side" vs "passenger side" between US and EURO vehicles.

Basically... im too many drinks in to figure it out 100% right now, but not far enough gone to remember that those might be backwards. And yeah, i know where the front of your vehicle is based on the tie-rod :p

Lol, I hear ya! Im about to go out and check which way the Internal Cooling Vanes are pointing. From what I've read the actual face of the rotor does not dictate whether its a left or right rotor.

Hmm, I'll check on that tomorrow. But yes, I am going to double stack the front as well, I'm just waiting on my struts to arrive. I wont be installing until I get JBA Uca's though so I'll only have to get it aligned once. I either going to run 275/65/20 or 285/65/20. Depending on which one fits best haha.

I hope your rack last until you get a Superlift! Are you planning on wheeling it? Your front is gonna be pretty much maxed out. You should check out Omelet's build on JF. He ran a modified OME for awhile, also. As far as tires go, I'd just make sure it's something you'll wanna run when you get your Superlift so you don't have to buy a new set of tires then! Oh and you might want to consider getting a Firestone lifetime alignment. It's like $180~ and you can get as many alignments as you want at any Firestone for as long as you own the vehicle. Pretty good value if you ask me!

It might sound weird but I dont wheel my Jeep! I'm 19 and she is my daily driver. I have a fourwheeler for offroading lol. I'm real easy on her and dont drive like most teens. And like I said before I'm 2WD so I wont have to deal with some of the problems 4WD deal with. When I get my superlift Im going to run OME springs in the front with 6" coils in the rear so I will be going with bigger tires! It's very easy around where I live to sell used tires for good prices so I'm not worried about that. But I think I will do that lifetime alignment lol, thats a helluva deal!

Okay well I am now officially double lifted!!! When I first installed I was using HD OME springs with a RC spacer in front. I forgot I still had the JBA 1/4" spacer in there so I gained a stupid amount of lift. Here are the results from that... (Not so pretty :()

1949

1950

1951

1952

oleblue27
05-04-2013, 02:47 PM
I fixed everything by removing the 1/4" spacer, cutting a coil of the HD spring, and reseating the spring. This is how she is now! 39.25 to front fender, 38.5 in the back with 20% 275/60/20

Also keep in mind these pics are from as soon as the tires were mounted and they were on the ground. The distance between the spindle and spring has increased now and I still have to get it aligned.

I'm not positive but if I had to guess, I'd say the bigger of the two because you have an XK. I've also heard that the SRT and the XK share the same swaybar. Hope someone knows what size for sure though...

oleblue27
05-06-2013, 01:20 PM
I'm gona go to the dealer to get them. Worst comes to worst ill order the bigger ones!

I hope I'm good for a while though at least this summer. I don't take it offroad.

Are your sway bar mounts flat or do they have the ridge in the middle of them? If you're not sure, take a pic.

If they have the ridge, you need PN 52090155AH.

Just make sure when you reinstall the sway bar with the new bushings that the gap you mentioned is the same on both sides. Ie make sure the sway bar is centered properly before tightening the mounts

Looking good man! I love the color

Whats the deal with the spacers you're trying to get?

Thanks man I love it too!

After I double lifted the front, it brought the knuckle and the wheels further inside the wheel well. So the tread on the tire in the back is a little outside the fender, the tread on the tire up front is a good 1/2" inside the fender. So I'm going to try what Adam suggested and run 1.5 in the front, and 1.25 in the back with some 18" jeep sahara wheels that a buddy is selling to me. And yes, I'm selling my 20x9's! Lol.

Haha I am very picky! Plus the tires for 20" wheels are hella expensive. 33's for a 20" are 1200$. 33.5's for a 18" wheel are 800. And I have a pretty awesome idea for painting the new sahara wheels, I'm gona photoshop it first to make sure it looks alright. But thanks guys I appreciate it! :)
