Well, as of Saturday I am officially a Gun Owner!

I received my CCW permit after only 1 month of waiting (that's pretty good for around here) and went out and bought my first gun on Saturday.

I bought a New Springfield XD9 w/ essentials pack. I am in love with this thing, and cannot wait to shoot it. I used a friends to take the CCW course and absolutely fell in love with it. Plus all the safety features it offers, with a little one around. (Gun safe is purchased and on the way as well)

Not mine personally but you get the idea of what came with the gun (2 16rd mags, holster, loader, mag holder)

Now the issue is JHP ammo, I need to find some locally... shipping is rough on a box of these, I don't need more than 50 right now.

Nice man congrats! I will be the owner of an XD-M soon as I move from NY! I know what you mean about that gun, first time I shot it I was sold!

XDM's are so nice dude.

I would love a XDM 40 3.8 compact... maybe down the road that will be my next move. I have a problem, jeeps and guns are expensive hobbies!

I have had the XD 45 ACP 4" for at least 5 yrs and never had a misfire or an issue. I love it. You will too. Congrats

Those are nice, I have one similar to that in my headboard.

I was going to get this one but went with one that was a tad bigger.

This thread makes me realize I havnt been to the range in a very long time :( and just found out that I can only buy 1 box of bullets at a time with everything going on.

bullets are a pain to find - anyone looking to get bullets online check out gunbot.net

The modding has begun already - picked up a tach light for the XD. Nothing too special, got it off amazon for 30 bucks or so, this thing is bright!
