Rausch Creek 7/28/2013

Heading to Rausch on Sunday July 28th if anyones interested.

I'm planning on bringing my son wheeling for the first time.... so I'm probably going to take it easy and don't expect to actually head into the trail until ~10am ish (leave here between 6-7AM, its a 3 hour drive)

Pretty sure we have the following so far:

Really need to set up a Meet & Greet to get everyone in the area (and our kids for those who have them) together. There's at least 6 of us (off the top of my head) who are all within a 2 hr drive of each other.

The accuracy of weather 4 days out, especially this time of year, is really bad. Right now it looks like just 4 of us are going... two of which have to work on Saturday. We'll see how the weathers forecast is looking Friday and go from there.

We're just going to be playing around on greens. I'm not worried about a few showers. :)

Not only do I have a bachelor party in Baltimore I forgot about- until the hotel rooms got debited OUCH!- I have a couple looking at the Jeep Saturday while Im gone. Hope you guys have fun! In other news looking at a real clean 97 ZJ 6cyl limited, but CLEAN! So I may not be out of the game for long..

Man its shaping up to be a crappy weeking at Rausch. T-storms tomorrow. Hoping those clear up and its just calling for clouds/showers on Sunday.

I don't mind rain showers.... but screw t-storms.

Well, I just watched the local report, and tomorrow is supposed to be a nice day. The rain begins at midnight and will be on-and-off throughout Sunday. :(

At Rausch the report is T-storms starting tomorrow soon after noon, then tapering off sunday morning, but more rolling in afternoon again.

I'd expect a huge difference. Hell last Monday I got hit with a major storm/monsoon for 4 hours, more rain than i've seen in years, and my boss was outside grilling and she lives 25 minutes away.

Actually, a local shop in Clinton has to do just that whenever the South Branch of the Raritan River floods.

LMAO I was out there with a broom pushing the water out. When there's heavy rain the ground doesn't absorb it quick enough and I usually get a little bit of water seep in to that corner where my jack stand are. Last week though it downpoured for a solid 4 hours and the water was getting to the rear tires of my tractor.... lol so i was out there with a broom pushing it out to the driveway so it'd flow down to the side yard.

Well it looks like the T-storms for today have shifted to the later afternoon, but tomorrows are still expected around 1:00. Will keep an eye as the day progresses and tomorrows forecast gets more accurate.

Just got done my yardwork... checked the forecast and the morning went from "showers" to "t-showers".

I'm not getting the warm & fuzzy for tomorrow. Mark, when do you get back from your vacation?

Yeah. It's looking like a really crappy day tomorrow. I want JT to enjoy offroading and not have his first experience driving around when all he can see is rain on the windows (let alone lightning and thunder that'll probably scare him more than anything)

We'll see when I get home. Was at Tims house all day running new wiring and putting up a few new ceiling fixtures. On my way home now.... fingers crossed!!
