I've had my RC 2" spacer kit sitting in my shed for a few months now. I finally got around to installing it tonight. One of the guys I work with was a Honda tech before he went back to college, knows his stuff, and has every possible tool. I pulled in his garage at 6:00 and pulled out of his driveway at 11:00, so it took us 5 hours including getting everything out and cleaning it all up. I meant to measure my fender heights but was in a hurry to get started and forgot about it completely. I'll have to add the pictures tomorrow once I take a few after. My jeep is going to be sporting the funky lookin stock tires for a little bit while I try to track down what I want.

Oh yeah, and also took off the little plastic valence thingy, or whatever it's called, that makes it look lower than it is.

Not a bad install time at all!

Planning on getting new wheels too?

Yeah 5 hours is great install time. I think I spent 5 hours looking for tools.

Planning on getting new wheels too?

Short answer, yes.

Why, well that's a little longer answer. I'm considering 3 different sizes:
245/75/17 - I think I want a little bit wider track than the 245's.
255/70/17 - Isn't available in a lot of the tires I'm looking at. But I have a lead on a potentially good set of used BFG Muds in this size FOR CHEAP.
265/70/17 - I'm not keen on running spacers so 265's will lead to new wheels. I have another good lead on a tire/wheel combo from the other Commander forum, just a pain to go get them.

Plus, one of my stock wheels is slightly bent and vibrates like hell when it's on the front. Even if I stick with my stock wheels I'll have to get a replacement for that one by the time of the first rotation.

Here's the before and after with stock tire size. Looks like I may need to just suck it up and buy some load levelers before I start the move and hauling the trailer up and down the interstate.
