That's what's up. I just blacked out my grill, along with the 4xguard

Ya I like the look of the black grill. I ended up having to do mine with that truck bed textured stuff because it kept chipping off.

Yeah, I haven't had that problem yet, but I haven't been on the trail yet either. I used bed liner on my expedition before for the same reason

I might have to think about painting my flares tho. That's sweet

Is anyone running around without their rear sway bar? And if so how does it handle on and off road? Highway corners ect.. Any input would be great!

I ran without one for awhile without any issues. But I had the OME HD lift so the stiff springs in the back and my MTRs reallly helped keep it stable. What lift are you running? Offroad it definitely flexes a lot more obviously

It only took me minuets to disconnect and reconnect the rear sway bar for the trails. I wasn't using OME so I didn't like the on road ride without the rear in.

Thanks guys, I just have a 2.5" puck and shocks. Sal did you disconnect and reconnect the stock links easily then?

It only takes a couple of minuets to do. Just put the Jeep on level ground to reconnect them. Once or twice I had to lean into the XK and rock it slightly to get the hole to line up but no big deal. I mostly left the fronts on because my UCA hit my spring anyway so I didn't see the point and with 285's I my up travel was still maxing out with them connected.

Sweet thanks I'll give it a try. And that was with the stock links right? You don't have quick disconnects?

Correct stock links. The rear I disconnected at the top using a long extension just above the rear tire.

Do you have a picture with all your flares done? I'm thinking of doing this, but have not seen any light colored XK's with black flares. Just wanting to see it on both flares before I start spraying. Thanks

Make sure you use a tone of masking paper!!! Overspray shows up big time on a light vehicle.https://theultimatejeep.com/images/imported/2015/04/47cf04b2ffdd5299111f305e7e999e30-1.jpg

Thank you, sir. That was exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to use Plasti-dip, I don't get off pavement very much. Actually it doesn't get out of the garage much, I put about 2k a year on her. Great looking XK, by the way!

Thx. 2k miles a year! I put more then that in mine in the last 2 weeks! Literally. (Granted I went to Moab but still) that's nice man and kudos on your iPad dash. You should post some pictures of your fenders before and after. It would be nice to see what the plasti dip looks like. Are you going black or gray or...

I'm going black since all my trim and wheels are black. I'll also do the grill like yours, it looks real good. I've got a work truck, all my miles go on that. The XK is an extra vehicle right now, till my wife sells her car. She will drive it till we find her a new car.

I installed the disconnects but have never used them. So little time to go off road lately.
