Is anyone interested in running to Sedona on Saturday September 25th? I have the day open and can go anywhere but I know there was some interest in Sedona and Broken Arrow.

Although fairly short, this trail has to be considered one of the best in Arizona. It is extremely fun to drive and the red rock scenery is knock-out beautiful. This is an extremely popular route and traffic can be very heavy at times. Pull-outs are provided. Do not widen the trail by trying to pull over anywhere other than the pull-outs. You may have to back up. This is also a very popular hiking and mountain biking area, so be alert and courteous at all times. If you park, hike, or stop along the route, you’ll need a Red Rocks Pass. Several large rock ledges require high ground clearance but the obstacles are not overwhelming because little articulation is required. The hardest obstacle is called “The Steps,” which is driven downhill. This obstacle is very steep and will be intimidating to an inexperienced driver; however, stock SUVs with high ground clearance should be able get down just fine. You may scrape bottom so skid plates are recommended. This trail is very well marked and easy to follow.«

We can do a B.B.Q. at my place that evening if there is enough interest as well.

I'm in. What is the plan? Only the Broken Arrow trail or also an other trail like we did last year?Unfortunately I can't join for a BBQ afterwards.

What no Josh this year? I can do the trails but not the BBQ after. I think that I might try the Devil's Staircase this year with the new lift and all.

I was thinking about meeting up at the Cracker Barrel on I-17 just north on the 101, how does that sound?

What time works best?

I am game for any time, last time I think it was like. 0630 or so. What does everyone else think.

Looks like 6:30 at the Cracker Barrel:

21611 N. 26th Avenue
Phoenix, AZ 85027-2496
(623) 582-6020

It does not sound like the BBQ fits in and that is okay, we can do something on another occasion.

Any thought of taking Schnebly Hill Rd in or would that be trying to squeeze to much into one day?

That sounds like a great idea to me, we can run it at the end and it drops out at I-17
