There are many reasons to remove the dash or at least the front face of your dash and it is not very hard too do at all.
Looking at your dash you will see 16 allen head bolts on the front face around the air conditioning vents, you only need to remove the ones marked as an X

You will see how the four sections of bolts are when you look at the dash.
