The XK:
I purchased my XK new in November 2006. It is Bright Silver with the 4.7L V8 with QTII and only the basic factory features. The lift is a combination 2.25 Rocky Road Outfitters spacer lift in front and Old Man Emu 2" heavy duty rear springs and extended rear sway bar links. Rolling on the stock Hulk wheels with 1.5" spidertrax spacers all wrapped with Kumho KL71 Mud terrains 265/70/17. Protection comes from Mopar fuel tank, transfercase, and front skid plates as well as the 4xGuard belly guard. For recovery I have added the factory rear tow setup with receiver mounted hook and a Getlost4x4 winch mount with a Mile Marker 9500LB winch. On top is a Kargo Master safari rack with optional tire carrier and highlift jack mount as well as 4 Delta Tech 4" round driving lights. 2 Forward 4" round Delta Tech fog lights on the winch mount and 2 rear clear lenses/red LED fog lights mounted in the rear bumper Performance mods include a custom intake with K&N filter. Flowmaster Super44 off road diamond plate muffler with mandrel bent tail pipe. Tuning from Superchips Flashpaq with transmission tuning application installed. The rest I will let the pictures speak for all the other modifications that have come and gone...

This is not my XK but you can use it to get the idea of where I started from

hello adamag25,

1st off, i like what youve done to your xk so far! i had those kuhmo's on my tj when i had it and loved them! i was wondering how they would look on one of these. now i know what tires im getting for sure...

how do you like them? i had a 4in lift on the wj i just sold for my commander and i had 265s on them. if you didn't have the lift? would those tires be a tight fit?

sorry to ask so many questions... i miss those tires! i had bfg at/s on my wj and felt that the kuhmo's were 10xs better? maybe other then the tread life?

Thanks. So far i have had a good run with these tires. I agree 100% the kuhmo's are better than the BFG at's all around, I had a set on my TJ for a short time and they didn't do me any good. Tread life has not been an issue for the miles I have put on them but definately not the same I would expect from a street tire. 265's are not going to fit without a 2" lift, wheel spacers, and a little bit of adjusting to the pinch weld in the front fender area. For the cost of adding the lift and spacers it is well worth the gains of ground clearance and fitting some nice meat on the rims.

How did you mount that winch on the front of your Commander?
Is that a Get Lost mount?
Do you have any pictures w/the fascia off?
Does the mount work well?
I've been looking for some type of winch mount w/o putting on a steel bumper. I've got a Matrix w/front receiver, but I'm afraid my wife's going to hurt her back hauling my portable Warn winch around!
