Hey I had a custom front bumper made from a local fabricator. I dont have many pictures at the moment but here are a few of it held on by clamps and with it off. I'll post more soon now that it is painted and mounted I just need to get some pictures. The bumper I know does look way wider than the car but it is not however it is even with the fenders. https://picasaweb.google.com/100679597490254020182/FrontBumper#

looks good. that was another route i was looking into as well? only in my case, i was trying to find out/ look at how the commander on jeepinbyal website had the bumper mounted? it looks like they used a smittybilt/ rugged ridge src bumper by cutting the ends off the commanders crush plate and mounting it that way?

Nope the roof rack was actually made by me and my friend over the summer out of galvanized plumbing pipe and unions.

Ill post a few pictures soon of how my is connected. It has 8 3/8 bolts hold it on to what I believe you called the crush plate. There are also 2 1/2 inch bolts that connect it to the bottom bar that is U shaped under the bumper (for lack of better description) I have not been able to test it to see if it holds all the weight.

Can you post close up pics of your rack (roof rack. LOL). I am doing something similar with the exception of fittings and I will have an actual rack to modify.

I wish I could tell you they were but they arent. Love my tires although they do seem to be losing treat a little bit fast. No grinding either and havent even modified pinch weld just trimming :)

I will when the weather get a little bit nicer out... Although I would rather not have people see it up close looks better from a distance. :)

The way the front is open, what protection do you have from taking water into the engine?

From what I can see, a lot of the inner fender wells are removed. However, we can't see
your intake. You might be no different from the stock setup or even a CAI add on.
Based on what I think see, you need a snorkle.

I agree with everyone else, it looks good!!

Nothing more is exposed than stock. The fender still cover the intake. The wheel well is not open to the engine even with the trimming. A snorkel would help but the water I go through it isnt necessary. Not a fan of the deep water and don't want to cut into the side for the snorkel. The main use of this was added protection to the front from trees etc., provide tow hooks in the front, and of course to look good. For 400 I think it was a steal and completely worth it.

That really came out nice. For that price you can't beat it. Thanks for posting up all the diferent angles. I also have a lot of the fender liner cut out,but have had no problems going through water. I have a cold air intake and it is still protected for the most part. Looks great.

Next mod is to try and get "jeep" CNC Milled into the skid plate with a light behind it to shine through.
