Well this is going to be fast at first cause its the past 6 months.
I have a 2006 Commander (XK)
When I bought it, it had 32,002 miles on it.
It is a 3.7L with the QTI 4x4 system.
Yes it is a baby system with no 4lo but I have yet to encounter any problem with it. I haven't had the chance to go offroad to much but that may change this weekend.
Well I guess I'll start by saying for some reason I don't have any pictures of the day I got it. :nono:

The first thing I did was added some cheap lights to the front. My dad had this light "wing" license plate holder on his truck. He gave it to me. I hooked these light up with my fogs. that way they are all on with one switch.

Got them both for 40 bucks. Skyjackers site says 40 bucks apiece. I was gonna paint them but couldn't wait to install..

Thats a good deal as long as they are not worn out. Are they any longer than stock? A little black spray paint will cure the white issue.

I was thinking to do dark green or dark blue. They are longer and they feel stiffer than stock.

Well here is my big update..I wont have pictures for it about 3 weeks though. I met up with the same member that sold me the shocks and well I am going to buy his tires. He has BFG All-terrains. He is going to sell me all four for 100 bucks. They only have about 25 to 30K on them and they look brand new. He is also going to sell me his spare which I didn't look at but he said the tread is pretty low for an extra 10 bucks. They are 265/70. I am so Excited! He already has the new tires but is waiting for his wife to go out of town before throwing them on. June 10 is his install date and I am looking at the following weekend for mine.

dude he is a nice guy. I met him at a local mall to check out his rig. He is modded up, I wasnt expecting it haha. He has a wk with 4x rock rails, a rola rack and AEV pintlers. I was like DAMMMNNNN. haha when he told me how much he wanted for the tires I had to see them. And when I saw them I said DEAL! A.J. from jf is coming up on june 10 and we are headed to jagers to do some wheeling in Salisbury. I wish I would have them by then but I am not to worried cause the deal I am getting.

You can't get the setting changed you have to buy a programmer of your own to do that bro. The dealer only has a few tire sizes to choose from and no where near the size you're putting on.

I may just have to make a drive up to adams jeep in aberdeen. I think they are one of the best offroad dealing jeep dealer on the east coast. And what I mean by that is they don't really care if you mod the hell out of it they will still take care of you.

You could have them put the largest tire setting in they can to get close. I'm still running without the correction myself you just get use to it. Maybe Neil can jump in and see what he did or caleb one of the 3.7 guys anyway.

Like previously discussed, the dealer was only able to program the comp for 255/65/17 tires which only throw the speedo off by 2 or 3 mph. But it did cost $65 to do it.

The green was my girls idea. It was either blue or green..she likes green more..At first I was scared but it came out great!

Wheels are done. We didnt do the green ring..Got frustrated and just painted the whole wheel black. Did the center cap green though.

That's actually due to one of the downfalls of this site i've been vocal about. I saw this thread last night, and wanted to post a reply but figured i'd come back and post after i finished some work. Well, since I already read the thread it disappeared from view when i click "new posts". Out of site / out of mind... i forgot about it and was never reminded to post because it's not on the list of active threads. Until just now, when you replied, it popped back up because its a new reply that I haven't read.

Maybe they can just do away with the "new posts" link (since knap can't get it to work like other forums) and make it a "threads posted in the past 24 hours" link... that would work better IMO. And then i won't forget about ya Dan!!

The biggest problem with the directions is the lack of pictures. Yes I know that sounds a bit childish but dont put 2 pictures in that dont really help. I can't stand when they give you 1 1/4 inch bolt here directions when they cant outline the bolt on the paper and take a picture of where it goes. Those are the best directions.

I know what your talking about. Saw it when I was installing my lift. It rests right on the skid. Stupid engineers.

Yeah its not just for 4" lift.... if you get extended length shocks you'll hit that part of the tank. So to maximize suspension travel its worth cutting it out while the tank is out.

From what I saw it was hitting the Plastic sheild that is on the tank now. does it hit another part too?

.....and its actually metal, even on the non upgraded version.

Talk to Omelet over at JF and he still has his rear OME shocks and springs laying around. Im gonna snatch those up from him. Its gonna save me about 100 Bucks from the regular kit price from Kolak. So I am happy about that. He doesnt think they sagged at all. Well just thought Id let you guys know whats goin on. It wont happen for awhile as I would have to save up for the front half of the kit. But at least I will be adding!

Well my rack was delivered this morning. No one is home and it is pouring down rain. My basket is gonna be a soggy mess when I get home. Make sure you just check them out when you stop to be sure. I used the biggest washers lowes sold I think that gave me a little less then a 1/4" bite on each side and I had no issues. Your XK is looking good by the way.
