In Michigan at least for the time being the cops can now get this, without probable cause they can pull you over and I can't believe this, take your phone and download everything on it including GPS tracks, pictures, video's and text messages LMAO. I can't believe it that is insane and I know it will get turned down as soon as someone takes it to court but not the point. It reflects the attitudes of politicians and police in the north. Good luck to you people but I won't even cut threw the dictatorship of those types of northern or any states.

Also just saw on the news the Iphone 4 tracks your location (GPS) and keeps a log for up to one year and there is no way to turn it off. Anyone with the know how can access that info if they get your phone or computer. What is the world coming to? its scary.

I am betting that the Police were not involved with this new regulation, our great politicians come up with this stuff and then expect everyone will follow like sheep. What would be the point of stoping someone without PC to get a search of their phone for information you don't need? I know most Police Officers are to busy to want to mess with this.

They issued the police a hand held device the they just plug your phone into and all the info gets uploaded into the police data bank that was created just for this. It's works on any phone but only the Iphone 4 stores your GPS tracks for up to a year.
