Its time to upgrade my current offroad lights to something nicer and brighter. I have 4 mounts on my bumper and am not sure what to get. I want something thats really bright, looks good, and doesnt cost too much. I liked the look and cost of the Hella Black magic 500 but have heard they arent that bright so any suggestions?

I've seen Don's setup in person and those bad boys are bright as heck man. I can't remember what he has but if it's not in his garage I'm sure he'll stop by and let you know.

I've had the 150w sealed beam eagle eye lights. They're bright as hell, affordable and can take a beating.

My KCs are 135w I think. When I was out on the beach they didnt look so bright , then I realized they were just shining off out into oblivion with nothing to shine on. They seemed to be about as bright as the oem headlights. With all lights on , off roads and headlights, if you cut off the headlights it wasnt very noticable and if you cut off the rack lights it wasnt very noticable. Im sure the wide open beach was a contributor to this. The KCs did light up the area off to the sides up front pretty good. Now I have Silver Star headlight bulbs so Im eager to see the comparison when I get to Uwharrie.

I have a pair of KC Highlighters and a pair of eagle eye lights. When i took them apart to mount
the lights on my bar, I saw they used the exact same bulb.

There are 2. Black and Chrome.
1615SSS or 1615SCC

I searched Eagle eye 150w offroad and several sellers came up.
I think they have an amber lens available if you are interested.

I did not find the light on Eagle Eye site, but they did have the lense.

Some Lights... (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-150W-4X4-OFF-ROAD-JEEP-FORD-DODGE-FOG-DRIVING-LIGHTS-/330555199556?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf6a01044)

hmmm, i couldn't find the lights I used to get.

They were 150 watt sealed beam lights with the Stainless Steel casing. The black and the chrome casings don't hold up as well.

Yeah they have them: http://www.matrixracing.com/p-11983-eagle-eyes-series-6-off-road-spot-light-6-stainess-stl-150w-1615sss.aspx

Price went up a bit since the last time I bought them (about 5-6 years ago). They used to be just shy of $50 each.

I bought mine for $80 for the pair at HERE (http://www.trailswestonline.com) in Wagram (aka Pataskala) Ohio.

Still a good deal I think.

Has anyone ran Light force lights? Either the 140 Lance (approx. 5.5'') or the 170 Striker (approx. 6.5-7'') One for Driving lights and the other for offroad use? The 140 put out 110,000 candela and the 170 put out 350,000 candela. I'm not sure how good that is for output so if anyone knows how they are or if that is bright let me know.
