Hit the two hardest trails at Uwharrie today just a few pics my friend took I didn't even bring a camera this time :D

I came out your way a few years ago, Pie Town to be exact. I was thinking the total opposite. Where is all the greenery ? LOL !! That is a beautiful place and a cool place to go wheelin' I would think, but its nothing but dirt.

I like the view. You can see for 150 miles on a clear day. Yeah, it's dry and brown in the spring and summer (and winter), but the fall is really nice. Summer monsoons start in mid-July and things are pretty green by September. Northern New Mexico is mountainous and gorgeous. There are seven decent ski areas within a three-hour drive, great cycling, climbing, soaring and off-roading. Did I mention I'm a realtor? ...not really--but I am sold on this state.
