I didn't see it covered anywhere... I priced out the 18 plastic pop rivets for the front fender liners at the dealership... yikes! over 80 bucks... at wholesale price!!

Has anyone found an alternative that looks close to factory?

If you have one you can take it to Napa or another flaps. They can match it up close enough.

You can also check lowes as well in the hardware department they have automotive section with a bunch of clips pins just an assortment of random stuff

Fosh69,

This is off subject but I see that you are from Colorado. Next week we are having the West Coast Camp Commander at Buena Vista, Colorado. Check out the link if you have not already.

Show up at Camp and I'll give you rivets and install them for free. If not I use Fastenal Au-ve-co 14023 is the part number. $10 for a box of 25.

Matt. Hit up Harbour Freight. As somene already stated, they have a POM rivit kit for $20 that comes with the tool and an assortment of rivits. I picked one up when I did the pinch weld, worked great.

I already have a snap-on rivet tool so I'd rather just buy the rivets I need. Harbor freight is also about 45 minutes away.... there's a NAPA store down the street.

Though I just reread the instructions and think I read them wrong the first time.... so its not as crucial for me to get the plastic rivets now for the slider install. But it'd still be good info.

I'm going to see if I can get the info from cross referencing the OEM part number. Lol I can probably get a box of 50 from mcmaster or fastenal for $8

Gotcha. I have a HF 2 miles away so that's the first place I look when I need little BS stuff. Even if you didn't have the tool for the NAPA rivits you could always do the 'ol box wrench and plyers thing to put em in. lol

Here is what I used, same as rivets but reuseable.

I think I found the OEM repalcements at mcmaster... part number 90219A340

Here's a link: http://www.mcmaster.com/#90219a340/=dx0jum

Going to order a pack and give it a shot. I like the idea of using plastic rivets... keeps everything nice and tight especially when being vibrated like hell offroad.

can the normal rivet gun work or need a special one for the the plastic rivet?

Special one, the center shaft is too large for the standard rivet gun.
