Ive been packing today to go camping. We're just doing the state park campground thing this weekend. I think we picked the hottest weekend for it too. It was already 95 at 9:00 am when I was loading up. Hope you guys have a nice , fun weekend and yall be safe. My daughter snapped this pick, kinda funny. Damn its hot !

On the east coast that sucks, at least when its hot here its a dry heat. I just hope we get some highs that might break 80 some time this summer. its been the 60's for the few weeks with maybe 2 days in the last 2 months that hit the 70's

It was very hot on Friday, about 103. We got settled in at about 4:00 and decided to hit the lake and cool off. Forget that. The water was so hot , seemed hotter than air temp. LOL It cooled down overnight and we got in some swimming Saturday morning thru till about 2:00. Sleeping was better sat night, quite pleasant actually. Other than that we didnt really do much, ran into town for ice cream Saturday evening.

Neil, did you pick up an ez up awning?.

I did. After my crappy one collapsed at Flagpole, I told my wife I wanted an EZ-UP like Sal has so we got one at Christmas. Its awesome too. I will have it at Flagpole next month.

I will check when I get home. Its huge inside, enough room for two full air mattresses and more . It looks small behind the Jeep there but it is taller than the Jeep. You can stand up all the way out to the walls.

My tent is approaching its life span I think. I'll be in the market for another tent soon myself.

We just added a two man pup tent to the inventory. My big tent is starting to show it's use the zipper on the door gave us some trouble this weekend. :( On a good side I also picked up a twin air mattress that fits real nice in the back of the jeep were I do most my sleeping.

I used two EZ up's myself this weekend and it was well worth hauling the extra one up there.

My XK has reached max capacity LOL. This weekend the jeep both baskets roof and hitch and the cargo area were full plus I filled my wifes trunk as well which is pretty large.

I know the feeling, Bro. I'm maxed out when we go to the beach too. We have taken two vehicles to Va Beach but at OBX we didn't because she couldn't drive up the beach to get to the house. My wife now says she wants to buy a Pop-Up. I don't have a problem with them other than I don't consider that camping. What to do, what to do. My buddy tried towing a utility trailer once up the beach to carry all the stuff, didn't do too well. :)

Well he didn't say anything about my wife just pointed out what I said and said it was funny. There fore I can except the humor in it. If he would of referenced my wife directly then for me anyway it would of been to far.

I agree, just some people read too far into a little joke or rib. Therefor, i have learned to keep "family" oriented jokes to myself on the interweb. Jokes on YOU on the other hand, is Game On! JK, LOL ..

Yeah wasn't quite sure how it was going to go over. Ribbing was more at Sal though for the way he stated it.
