Got your link - That is a really nice deal. Wish I could swing that, but I've got a few more things to resolve before I start splurging on the Jeeps again. haha. Thanks for the heads up though. Do you know how long he'll be running those specials?

  4. Holaday,

Just a heads up, I am selling everything off my Jeep and wanted to see if you were interested on the rails since you are local and I wouldn't have to deal with the shipping on those things, price is 300, please let me know by today if you can.

    Thanks

I will try to get some pics up for you. I have been meaning to get a garage thread going, just can't seem to find time once I get home. I do wheel my XK and I will say the sliders have come in handy a couple of times. They won't do too much to protect the edges of your bumper, but they perform really well on departure or approach of steep hills though.

Here are the pictures you asked for. You can see the nylon spacer/bushing smashed against the frame. Before i smashed it the nylon spacer sat inside the large hole that was bigger than the bolt. You can also see the silver lock nut i was talking about tightening. The bottom pic is self explanitory.

No problem. Hope you enjoy the 5150s. I changed mine out cause i had the lift with stock shocks.

    From a post by 07jeepxk:

    (4) M12x1.75x80mm approx.
    (10) 1/2 inch washers for those bolts

The bottom of the shock needs two washers on each side of the eyelets. Top should just need one on each side. As long as there tight you wont have any issues.

If you go to lowes in the bolt section you will find the exact bolts listed above(M12x1.75x80mm). They are not in the generic bolts group but the M bolts (special type) bins. Look hard cause it took me a while to find them on the wall-o-bolts. In my lowes i believe they were father to the left when looking at the selection of bolts. so 4 bolts 10 washers and the nylon bushings i showed you. That's all you'll need there. I'll try to get a picture up. By the way, Your inbox is full so you should delete some stuff. It won't let me send any PMs.

I love my bilstiens. Hope you enjoy them. I used the same bolts/washers as 07jeepxk did (check out his garage). For the bushings i used i went to lowes. Here's the bag numbers below. I put these bushings on the outside of the top of the shock going through the large hole in the frame of the xk. I used my impact drill to tighten the bolts down which also smashed the bushing flat inside the hole like a grommet. Hope that helps.
