I was wondering the same thing?!?
My stock ones really weren't bad. My end links were beat up so I figured i'd replace the bushings at the same time because they're cheap & easy. I don't know if I got a bad batch or if moog just uses too soft of a compound for this application, so i'm throwing OEM ones back in since they seemed to be holding up great.
Went SNOW-wheelin'!
My son is in the front seat, and my daughter in the back... somewhere!

We had almost NO snow last year (after I bought it ), and the little guys have NEVER gone snow-wheelin', so today tunred out to be a good day for it!

Pfft... the Commander laughs at such miniscule amounts of snow!

Back home, safe 'n' sound! ;)
Dialed in my alignment today. Now just need my new sway bar bushings to show up
Got my lights wired up.

Got a free tire rotation and the tires balanced today and have been snow wheeling the past few hours
The last time I had that done my TPMS kept lighting up. I took it back and they re-set it. Apparently this needs to be done with every tire rotation as the Jeep can't find the sensors without a re-set. At least that's what I was told. Never happened before. It did cure the problem though. I've driven several hundred miles since then.

The jeep automatically resets the sensor locations. HOWEVER, it must be driven for 10+ minutes at a speed above 30 mph continuously. So if you happen to only drive short distances and stop often, the sensors may have needed to be manually reset since you never met the requirements for them to relearn.
Well this didn't happen today, but my wife surprised me with some LED off road lights from rigid industries, 40" E-series light bar and a pair of dually D2s.

Nice!
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
x2 nice
If I ever spring for a Flashpaq turning off the TPMS will be my first tweak. Apparently my Commander wasn't smart enough to re-set on it's own. I drove about 30 miles after the rotation at speeds up to 55 and no slower than 45 and the next day is when the light came on.

Water pump went out today at 109K, wasn't bad to replace... remove mechanical fan, belt and belt tensioner.

Last day of 2012 and I spent most of the day trying to track down a popping sound in the front of my jeep. It's driving me nuts! Thought it would go away when i replaced all my control arms... nope. Almost sounds like the engine carriage shifting but all those bolts are snug. Going to change my diff fluid in case its internal in there, and check my new front driveshaft.
I'm not sure if you have wheel spacers or not but mine made a poping noise. I know it sounds crazy but all of a sudden one day, my front end started making this pop sound with a slight vibration and it got louder with speed. Put it on the lift at the local shop an dinitially we thought it was the t case. But we went with the simplest thing first. We impacted the spacers down as tight as we could. after a test drive, the pop sound and slight vibration it had was gone. Now about every 6 months or so, I impact them again just for good measure.
Another thing to check while you're in your front diff, is the play in the ring and pinion. Hopefully all the hard wheeling you do hasn't wore them any or any of the ring/pinion bearings.
No wheel spacers. And I've had pretty much every part of my friend end apart/re-torqued when i replaced my UCAs and LCAs last week.
It makes no noises at speed. Only turning into my driveway and such. Was worried it was the steering rack but I'm able to turn the wheel lock-to-lock while not moving (a lot of stress on the rack) and can't replicate the sound. Also ruled out pinion bearing wear with cycling suspension stress (power brake F/R & slight rolling) and can't get it to make the sound.
It's a really weird sound.... I've dealt with and tracked down a lot of suspension noises in my day, both on my vehicles and at the shop, and this ones got me a bit stumped. I'll have to get one of my buddies to drive the vehicle while I stand on the outside and try to track down where the noise is coming from.

I have smacked that 4XG front guard A LOT.... i might take those brackets off when I replace my sway bar bushings and see if there's some excess load being transferred into the radiator support after all the impacts they've taken offroad. One of those could be acting like a high compression spring now.
One of those light bars is on my wish list! I'd love to see one in person..... it's hard to grasp how bright they are even by pictures. I have a feeling most pics dont do them justice
Your right, pictures don't do it justice.
Installed my SA Secure Console last night.
Pics don't do it justice man that thing is sick it's so bright and the best part is the low amp draw.

Very nice X3 , After seeing your Defender rack over a year ago I ordered mine over 8 months ago. Still hasn't came in.. :-( I have the single row 40 inch, pair of dually D2's and a few others for scene lighting for the sides and rear sitting waiting for its arrival. I will also hook them up to an emergency flasher.
I'd love to see your 40" E series light up !
Installed an Interstate 72 month battery. I still had the original Mopar in my 07 and don't like to wait for things to fail.
Traded it in yesterday on a Town and Country minivan.. good and bad day, lots of memories in the short 2 years that I owned my XK, but man it felt like it was in the shop more than on the road. I'll be sticking around though and meeting up with the east coast members at RC on a fairly regular basis it seems with my XJ.
You better keep hanging around Jacob. Looking for some more family gtg's too!
Got the 30" bar yesterday. It does change the looks a lot. I'm so used to those round HID's that were one of the first things I installed, that it almost looks strange to me now. It does modernize it though. You can see a lot more grill now too.

Lit.

Why I REALLY like the Totron's extruded aluminum casing and its sliding mounting system. Try putting that light onto that existing HID bracket with the usual Ridged light's end mounts. You'd have to fabricate a large U bracket. It's a cinch with the Totron's bracket setup.

Another view.

It's BRIGHT to say the least. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING out front is lit, even the tops of 40' trees.
In the caving world, such lighting is said to be a "comforting level" of light. It may be more than one light in a caving system, but the phrase "comforting level" means enough light to light up the floor, walls, ceiling, and push back the "dead black void" of the cave tube leading away from you to at least its next corner. That's what the LED light bars do, it lights up everything within 270 degrees of the front of the rig. And, by everything, I also mean every teeny-tiny pebble and rock in the pavement ahead for at least 1,000 feet.
It's also a lot better than the HID's because when they follow the high beams, they're on NOW, not 30 seconds later after they've fully ramped up.
And, run the lower bar and the upper bar together? OMG it's high noon in front of you.
looking great
