I know the MT/R's come in a 275/70R17. Slightly smaller than a 33. If the Duratracs come in that size you could always go that route if your worried about the 285/70's fitting
Corey they're the same size as my tires... They'll fit
Okay. Well brand new MTRs at 275/70 are $1000 but I wont be getting tires for awhile unless I can sell mine for a good price.

Had a new spare tire carrier winch put in. With a piece of wood the spare fits fine underneath. However, when I go up to 275/70/17 I will probably only get (4) tires and keep the 245/75/17 spare under there. It will be good enough to get me to a shop for another 275/70 lol
I must say it is awesome having the cargo area back!!

Those shocks are a deal! How do they compare to the resi's that you're runnin' Matt?
$200 is a really good price.
They're the 10" travel version so they're ~26.10" extended vs the 28.10" that I have. Other than that, they're completely rebuildable so if you don't like how they ride you can have them re-valved and/or add the C/D adjuster that I have on the reservoir.
Yeah im like drooling over the tires. Looks like ill be waiting and getting 275/70 MTRs

Nice! I think I made the final decision to wait until next winter to purchase a set of (4) 275/70/17 MTR's because I know for a fact they will fit. When this XK is paid off I have full intentions of a SL w/ 35's so I will be happy with 275/70's as they are just under a 33". HOWEVER, I still! like the looks of a DuraTract over an MTR lol....thank you for the compliments on my build. I could not have done without Matt so he deserves some credit. I enjoy the XK every single time I drive it so all of the money and work was well worth it.
$1350 doesn't seem bad for 5 MTR's. I was quoted $1,000 for (4) 275/70's.
Nope..
My 06 was built in 05 and fit 16 with no problems.. Made the tires a little cheaper as well..
I know they make the kevlar in 275 but didn't see the durotracks in that size.. According to Tire rack.. The 275 was my second pick if the 16 rims didn't work out..
I ordered from tire buyer. Com was a little cheaper with shipping and found a coupon code for 50 dollars off.. Made it a better deal than Tire rack..
Do you have pics with your jeep running 16 inch wheels? Not sure how they clear the brake calipers
Corey I ran a 34" tire on less than a 2" lift with minimal rubbing and hvac lines still in place lol

Yeah but did you wheel? I dont know how 34s are possible on a 2" if you wheel?

No pictures yet.. Still waiting on tires.. I'll. Post one when I get my tires..
Yeah thats nice. I will either do 33 duratracs or 275/70 MTRs. I just dont want to buy 33s and then they dont fit lol....

So Kacie is sick of her Camry this winter. I am trying to convince her to lease a 2014 WK ll!!!!!

Duuuuude.... yes.
On 2nd thought... no. You need to buy, not lease. Gonna need a good vehicle to tranport them mini-C's in a few years
Lmao yeah I know....and they will be coming soon! Yeah but she wants a fully loaded which will be close to $500+ so we don't to want to pay that much for a car with buying a house in the near future. I had her look at the compass too but we'll see. She is also looking at the Nissan Rogue. I of course want her to get a Jeep :P
Trust me you're not gonna want to lease a vehicle now and then have to buy a new one in a few years when the lease is up AND you have young kids.
Buy something now so its paid off in a few years and then the kids can destroy a paid off vehicle that you've already got some use out of.
Take a look at CX5s ;)
Yeah valid points. We were at the auto show today. The CX5 is nice.

other than jeep I would get the wife a Q5 or the new Allroad by Audi, both are sick.

Can you tell Subaru blood runs through my veins (along with Jeep)?
Yeah I do love Subaru's. I have wanted a WRX STI for a long time lol....I may buy one when the XK is paid off.
