With the 4" SL.... i think it may be a good setup.
Not 100% sure though, i'd definitely have to take a closer look at what wheels/tires some of the other 4" lifted XK's are running to feel a bit more confident. The width is the only thing that has me a bit "iffy".
275/60/20 would be another tire size to look at. They're 1" taller than the 305/50/20s, but a good inch thinner. (i'm a fan of the 305s though in terms of looks)
Edit: or 275/55/20.... 275/60 was popular in the GM truck world, but 275/55/20 would probably be a better option for our XK's.

would a better option be the mickay thompson classic ll? would that give me more tire options?
-
What kind of tires do you want to run?
-
either BFG all terrains or Nitto Trail grapplers.
-
Well the trail grapplers come in 17", 18" and 20" sizes that would probably work with the SL so you have no issues there. 295/55/20s for those rockstars would be interesting....

FYI here's a XK with 4" superlift and 285/70/17 (which are basically the same size as 295/55/20): http://www.jeepcommander.com/forums/...ad.php?t=10817
Here's another: http://www.jeepcommander.com/forums/...ad.php?t=10455
^Those wheels are 8" wide with 4.5" backsapce.
Based on those vehicles, i think 295/55/20 would be a good option if you wanted to run the 20s. And the 20x8.5 w/+10mm offset would put the stance VERY close to that second one I posted. Your tires would stick out just a hair less... but the increase from 285 to 295 wide on the tire would probably make up for that, so they'd be identical to the naked eye.

BTW... helping you out is really making me itch to lift my XK! :(
-
yeah i just am working out the details now. i am getting super excited as well.
-
I too am looking at the SuperLift, Let me know if you find a great deal.

The best i could find was on jackit.com and that is around $1900. also could i run a -12, +18, +30MM? any of those?
