Got my tail light guards in, and installed them as SOON as I got my hands on them. Took all but 30 minutes - May do some minor tweaking but otherwise they look great.

Nice AJ, and I really like the Cherokee badges, got to check this area more often!

Going to see if I can convince Danny to put it all on tonight.. muaha, lol. The weather is perfect for it.
WOOHOO!!!! Now it's time to get it on!
Looking forward to seeing those installed.
Don't rush us!
Looks tough!
Looking great man... your WK makes me want to permanently mount a spare on my roof rack
Thanks Matt, I appreciate it! :D
Looking great
I installed a Warrior Pre Runner Universal Grill Guard today - It is not the 4xG grill guard. I like this one a little more because it extends forward some. Gives a little more protection for the lights and the grill itself. I'm going to have some steel brackets cut to provide additional mounting support for this bar - It's made out of 1 1/2" round steel tubing - it's very strong.

AJ, man your WK is looking great dude. The matrix looks great on there
Hey how do you have your tire up there, just ratchet straps? I thought I saw something else up there holding the tire on as well.
Thank you, I can't wait to get my RG2 installed. I'm tired of looking at it in my living room. All it does is remind me I lacked the hardware to do it myself, lol.
Yeah - A chain and master lock, lol. You know how people are in Eastern NC - People will take anything, even if it's worthless, lol. I came to my Jeep one day took off, and noticed my cargo rack was sliding around. Seemed like someone tried to take the cargo rack, but lacked the ability to execute it. To their credit, the Yakima's have a built in theft deterent.. it basically takes FOREVER to take off and it is quite cumbersome... So I imagine they gave up doesn't help that there is a 33lb tire on top.
But yeah, a chain that is cut resistant and an outdoor masterlock that would even take Sal an hour or two before cracking it open, lol.
Wasn't there a discussion a while back about whether you should leave your Shackles on or off? The average person doesn't know how they come off, and at first glance it look impossible to remove... but an offroader, or a clever thief KNOWS they are worth 15 bucks a piece. I have been leaving mine on since the day I got them - But I will probably start taking them off... NOTHING pisses me off more than someone stealing.
I tighten my shackles up with plyers so you can't just turn them off by hand. Wont stop a good thief who's equipped with basic tools.... but it'll stop the grab&run types.
^ Thats a REALLY good idea, lol - Be right back!
That doesn't work around these parts! Everyone and their mother carries tools in their POS car or on them. If you can easily get to the mounting bolts/screws, someone will steal it! That is why I keep all my gear in the back or custom mount it so you can't get at the bolts. :D
No I just live in North Mexico (SoCal)! :D Everyone around here has sticky fingers and no license
How do you protect your bow shackle mounting brackets from get'n snagged,??
Added some more auxiliary lighting for the WK today. They were all installed to my cargo rack. 2 Halogen sets total. One 55w set for the reverse. One set for the sides. I will make an attempt at wiring some of this stuff tomorrow. Eventually, I want to wire them such that when I hit the unlock button on my key - the reverse and side lights come on just as the headlights and follow the same time delay before cutting off, or shutt off when the vehicle is turned on. I'll get some pics in the morning I'm still tired, lol.
Nothing crazy - Pics below
D-ring Isolaters equipped up front - Also removed my aftermarket headlight assembly's and put int he OEM.

Remember those reverse lights I used to use that seemed to act as really good sliders? lol. Well I had to remove those to install my 4xG RG2. I bought some new ones and installed those on the cargo rack. Wires are all nice and protected and tied fastened to the frame out of the way of damage from whatever I put on top.

I like Sal's lights he had on the side, and could see the practicality of this - So I equiped some on the side as well.

This concludes my holiday project.
My next project sometime this week or early next week is to finally order some SA sliders and 4xG Belly, and Front Suspension Skid
Looks great AJ. I need to put lights on my rack. Now I gotta get use to your headlights.
Thanks, Tobes.
I also updated my first post to show 'ordered' products - I have a lot of stuff to be shipping. I'm really looking forward to the next month as items start to arrive.
I love when Santa in the brown truck pulls up to my door!
How bright are those lights?
Did you heat shrink the connections?
Did you use a relay?
What type of amps can your switch handle?
What gauge wire did you run?
:)
To bad you and aj cant be mischievous at RC this weekend :(
I dunno the brightness of the lights. I didn't use heat-shrink, because that's not the type of connectors i used, but I wish I had. I had to use some type of clamp and pinch. I did use relays, I dunno what type of amps my switches can handle, and I used 14 or 16 gauge wiring. But i'm going to have to redo the side and rear and put them on seperate switches because I don't feel they are bright enough, or i'm going to have to go to a 12 gauge wire.
The wire should be big enough for the lights. It's either the lights aren't powerfull enough or you used the wrong relays.
In-depth pic-take on what was accomplished today.
Packages instantly stuffed in my Jeep for immediate install.

The contents of each package was inspected.. "If they were sickly, wounded or misshapen... they would have been discarded!" very nice movie reference there... enjoy!

Differential First! I foresaw this one to be the most challenging to I attacked it first. Ironically it took me the least time of the 3.

Next was the Belly Guard - A big PITA to do by yourself
Slapped these two together, I probably should have tightened them just a little more than what I did because now I have to craw back under tomorrow, take it off, and retighten the two skids together a little better. I thought they'd be a little more accessible after actually putting them on - this turns out not to be the case (in my experience).
https://theultimatejeep.com/images/i...DSC03989-1.jpg
Using my body as a means to balance this thing along the belly so I can put these on. I've actually become quite good at this now.
https://theultimatejeep.com/images/i...DSC03990-1.jpg
Front Suspension Last
Removed the lower swaybar mounting bolt (passenger and driver side) and the cooler line assembly (just driver side)
https://theultimatejeep.com/images/i...DSC03995-1.jpg
Installed driver and passenger side brackets. (Passenger side bracket has the little tab (that I ended up NOT using).

https://theultimatejeep.com/images/i...DSC03998-1.jpg
Finally slapped that baby on. (again using my body as leverage to balance the skid - meanwhile I accumulated several scars in the process. But I won't share pics of that)

Your jeep is looking sick bro. Diffidently one of the top WK's out there. I was able to painfully tighten those bolts after it was on you can do it.
